I'd rather O'Neill than Wilder or Dyche, atleast the ceiling with him is a little more unknown. I thought he had Wolves playing decent stuff but they were a bit like Potter at Brighton, couldn't score. In his first season at Wolves anyway? But yeah underwhelming given we've had 10 weeks to sort it. Has anyone thought this may dropped into the media to rush any Rohl discussions along?
-
Yet probably has a much smaller ceiling than Dyche who's ceiling is probably like 16th in the PL with us
-
The longer this drags in the more it leans towards wanting Rohl. Surely that much is obvious, unless you're that miserable and want to just jump on the "the club is a shambles" bandwagon. Hope for the boards sake that we don't eventually get tired of waiting around and hire a Wilder/Dyche and then it looks like we've waited 2+ weeks to hire somebody unemployed

These Max/Spain comparisons will never end will they best one is Norris getting an even stronger penalty last year in Qatar for failing to slow down as little as 0.1s and in doing so showing that he's being super duper safe under yellow flags. FTR I don't think this and Russell at Canada was the same, certainly speeds/braking speed. I think it was a bit harsh as they're essentially accusing him of brake checking, why would he be?Piastri was quicker than Max all race, doesn't need to get up to that stuff. Not enough is being made of Piastri's "if you think the penalty was harsh then swap the positions back and let's race". I thought that was pretty disappointing and would be spoken about a lot more if a select few other drivers had said it and not someone who is something of a media darling

@The Blur get wet?

Vardy can do better than Las Palmas

Same strategy you said Stroll got lucky on FFS
-
It really doesn't hurt to acknowledge when someone does a good job, even if it is a rarity
-
Blablabla it's not luck to keep it on the track like he did in conditions like today, Australia, Turkey springs to mind amongst others.
-
say what you want about him in general but in the wet he's weirdly decent, proved it enough in the past including this season. And by holding up the pack, that pack consists of 1 driver, who has always been about 1-1.5s behind.

Stroll in his element here

Pretty late though isn't it. I'm sure we'd cope with new signings not having much of a pre-season with us but still
-
What's more concerning for me is that I'm sure we'd all have liked a major revamp of the squad, which more than likely isn't going to happen now. Do not want to be going back up with the likes of Vestergaard, Soumare, Daka having semi decent seasons and then hoping they'll be good enough in the PL after 2 relegations

The forecast for today makes their approach last night even more silly -
- will fit us like a glove then - "if you take out his good stats, his remaining stats are really bad" (that narrative stinks of Nige btw, nailed it at one club but not done much elsewhere) - this one particularly irks me. So should our next manager have succeeded in the PL? Or does somebody like Rohl with no experience in the PL get a free pass on that? Because if his first year of PL is with us then the chances are his record is going to be worse than someone like Dyche's. Wilder has failed at teams you'd expect him to fail at. Granted he'd be with us who you'd also expect to fail
-
If we're +8pts adrift in December/January in the PL in 2027 under Rohl, do we sack him or is he still the long term project? Doesn't take much for our fans to want a manager out, were some morons wanting Maresca out in our sticky patch near the end of that season

Don't think it needs rain, should be a good one in the dry

Devils advocate here..... Can someone tell me why he'd be a disaster? Same with Dyche and the likes which is causing everybody to have a breakdown? What actually is a disaster for us over the next year or two? Mid table? Not going back up at the first attempt? I think things would have to turn pretty disastrous for that to happen under these names, and is it really any less likely to happen under Rohl? What is it about Wilder at this level and his most recent season here which spells disaster? I feel to some we're still seen as a mid table-lower top half PL club and we are above these appointments. No matter who we appoint I think it's highly unlikely we will start 27/28 in the PL as a 2nd year club. Before I get accused of being a dinosaur, I'll point out my stance on it is I'd rather Rohl or somebody outside the box like the Bodo manager (tad unrealistic), because at this level with our squad/facilities we can probably get away with taking a risk. Going for a "boring" option I don't think means we're less likely to go up. Certainly don't think it gives us less of a chance to stay up in the PL either, especially Dyche. And as far as Rohl goes, doing well at a certain level of a league does not guarantee success when they start managing at the other end of it, there are many examples of it. Part of the temptation with him is that he hasn't yet failed.

So do fans want us to entertain and inevitably lose, or try and keep the lead in a 5 match series? No brainer for me but I dare say the England captain disagrees -

Rohl out -
Probably be everybody's second choice behind Rohl

What comms do you want from the club exactly? I can write you one on their direction, it's not hard. Whether they take the correct actions towards that is another matter A comms about the manager situation? Never seen one of those about pre-sacking a manager after the final game or the season but having to wait til end of June/July, nor have I seen a club issue a comms with an update of their pursuit of a manager currently trying to get out of the contract from another club. Be frustrated by the situation sure but not sure a lack of comms is worth getting upset over Happy birthdays I'd be 99% sure is nothing to do with club except for the social media team. Low quality engagement sure, especially when it done for birthdays like Ward or Faes yet it would look odd for the club to pick and choose who they issue birthday wishes to based on how good or liked they are. Would be good to knock this one on it's head though PSR not my strong point however with all the legal action with whats going on I dare say there isn't much they can give out
