  1. He's always got matey hugs for Cannon and Coady, Coady especially. Souttar's just a forgotten man, probably 6th choice.
  2. Gotta be the most liked team selection of the season. If Coady isn't starting now you have to wonder if he ever will.
  3. He played very little in that 12 out of 13 start to the season and our lack of pace was rarely exploited. It's only really since Cov away that we've lost that solidity at the back. I don't know that we need that pace if Faes actually gets his arse kicked for wandering off up the pitch or we sit a bit deeper with Coady instead of Faes. It's about getting the basics right and stop taking stupid risks.
  4. Just rested. He was actually in goal for the warm ups taking all the practice shots. Have Jakub a big hug and manly kiss before he went in Me neither but vital that Ndidi and Ricky get fit and Mrs Vardy locks Jamie in the cryo chamber at home for 2 weeks. It's not just boring it's embarrassingly inaccurate as our goal scoring record across the season proves. Carping for the sake of getting attention which is why I'm not quoting him. A)1 and B) did you see him take the ball off Cole Palmer twice today when he looked beaten? The kid is not rubbish. He's barely out of his teens and his passing ability for a supposed CB is incredible. Let's at least TRY and back our own eh? *yes I've seen your apology just making my point
  5. Houses burn to the ground so easily these days. Best you stay home and make sure that doesn't happen.
  6. We were never that far ahead of 2nd in reality. We pulled clear a bit when Ipswich went 5 without a win in January, Saints were apparently going to catch us (then lost 4 out of 6) and everyone got a bit carried away before we had our 4 without a win. All Leeds have done is match how we started the season, 12 from 13. The only real change is that gap to Leeds because now all the top 4 have had their bad spell. It's a reality check for the passengers aboard HMS Pisstheleague.
  7. Sideshow Beckenbauer more like. Started the season fairly solid but as the weeks have gone by he's starting to drift out of position and go wandering with the ball & he got caught out 3 or 4 times today. He's supposed to be the pace that covers Vestergaard having the ball nicked but every time he got over halfway today Chelsea had 2 or 3 on him and played the ball in to the gap he left. Coady was bought to be the experienced head that kept it tight at the back and kept us a few clean sheets. Time to give him the shirt, enough of this Sideshow Shitshow defending.
  8. Still convinced we'll be top 2 but so much will depend on us and Ipswich playing Saints. In a way being second may help us having something to chase, even if it's just winning by a bigger scoreline to go top but whatever Leeds now have the pressure on them.
  9. I had said literally 5 mins before his goal that his confidence has been shot since that miss against Leeds, almost feels like he took the defeat on his shoulders because he's been so off form since then. The subs and how the game went mean we'll have to wait til Brizzle to see if it helps him in the run in but hopefully that's a monkey off his back now.
  10. That's not how the Championship works and the reason I feared relegation was because it's a quicksand league, it pulls you down you lose a few games lose your confidence and PL arrogance and end up scrapping with the other fallen giants. It's never straightforward. Even with that said with our points total you'd expect us to be well clear of the pack. Ipswich have lost 5 games all season. Leeds and Saints have kept their nerves. We may have the best squad but that chasing pack aren't your usual WBA, Norwich and Hull. We could be 3rd on 100pts with our "best squad".
  11. Yep. Totally understand the comments about the off-field stuff but the chat about us bottling games and the title is coming from supporters who have clearly bottled it themselves. As for blowing 10 point leads etc we're in exactly the same position we were in at Christmas. Swapping places with the team in 2nd. Every team has had their bad run. Leeds were shit in November. Ipswich had a terrible January, Saints lost 4 in 6 after their "title charge". February was our second blip. Strap yourselves in for 8 games in 28 days!
  12. You know what you are You know what you are We can't sing it You know what you are
  13. Darren England - the Liverpool cock up guy - is the VAR too.
  14. On the playing side we've had a blip, that's not really an issue for me. With Wilf & Ricky back and Jamie starting again we might just see it through but the off pitch stuff is worth moaning about. It turns out directors marking their own homework wasn't a great idea and rather than get us into a position of strength we'll start next season on minus points. The more you hear about issues behind the scenes the more we look a complete shambles, which many have suspected for a while. In the sapce of two seasons, we went from European nights, planning an expansion and building a squad permanently challenging in the top 10 of the Prem to being down with the deadmen and haemmoraging cash at an alarming rate. That's worth moaning about.
  15. I get the argument that it happens in all sorts of workplaces (I was in one myself where there were 8 different couples in the same workplace of about 30 people) but you can't have a situation where a player is getting a through ball up the channel from the coach. In most normal workplaces, you're all contracted by the company and working under the same terms, your place there isn't dependent on the will of your boss. A coach's position is completely undermined if the other players know they're in a relationship with someone. It leads to resentment and the coach being questioned why he/she is consistently picking a player or giving them unfair treatment. Like others have said its a huge shame because we'd been in decent form and were having our best season by a mile.
  16. Let's not forget our last season down here under Pearson we had one 3pm Saturday kick off after January. It's a shocking decision, a 12.30 Saturday would have been bad but 2000 fans will be getting home at 3am 😑
  17. When you look at that Vardy /Sharky combination in the FA Cup it's odd he's not had more game time when Vardy's been on although after Maresca's comments recently about regretting subbing Stephy in a few games that's probably why.
  18. That's where I question the so-called rise of women's football. Arsenal can fill the Emirates but Spurs and especially Chelsea struggle to fill a 4th tier ground. Majority of clubs arent anywhere near the level of having a dedicated stadium and if you haven't got a Lioness in your side, forget it.
  19. Needs Ricardo back, it's the partnership that keeps the side ticking over. Choudhury is too limited for the inverted role, Ricky is always on for the pass and to carry it forward if needs be.
  20. I hope he rests Daka. Looks mentally damaged by his recent misses. Bring in Coady for Faes, Doyle for Justin, Ndidi for Akgun and Cannon for Vardy. That's it. There's a break afterwards for anyone else that's tired.
  21. 100% this. McAteer gets dogs abuse whenever he comes on. Anyone that's stood in for Ndidi or replaced a midfielder - Praet, Choudhury, Akgun has been slagged off for not being good enough/effecting the game/closing down etc Doyle for Justin? "he's got no pace" "he gets caught out" "not been the same since he came back". Most people have issues with our bench players and what they offer. Maybe Enzo feels exactly the same. Maybe he sees we only have a cup game before the internationals and decides they can all last an extra few mins? The only one that puzzles me is Cannon. Came in, scored goals, Daka arrives back, takes his place in the squad and stinks the place out with his horrendous finishing yet starts ahead of him every single week. Maybe he's in the shop window to generate a sale in a couple of months. Whatever it is, he's costing us points.
  22. I don't know how we work harder. We've had about 80 shots in the last 4 games, we've got by some distance the best away record in the division and have scored 7 or 8 more goals than any other team on our travels. Despite goals coming from all over the pitch this season we need more from midfield. If the wingers are marked up, Daka misfiring or whatever then the 6s and 8s need to chip in instead.
  23. At some point it would become public knowledge or the PL would release a statement because it would be part of official proceedings. With £xxM involved they'd have to address it.
  24. I've got no idea why they came out of the game against us with so many tongues up their backsides. They were pretty ordinary and that late collapse was down to us as much as them. They weren't exactly whipping Hudds last weekend either .
