  1. Nope in the SK1 corner it was rocking especially considering there were a few spaces in there. No idea about L block or anywhere else, can never hear them anyway these days
  2. Winks rating is incredibly low. Bad mistake but he was pretty much on top of his game again apart from that.
  3. Yeah there's that other role they created a couple of months ago that got advertised. Similar title but not that job.
  4. They want this supporter liaison officer role whatever it is filling, they should give it to Jim. Without doubt the most helpful, most supporter-orientated guy at the club.
  5. Amazing what a 5-0 win does for demand. You know there's high demand when Josh is struggling for tickets 😁
  6. The Mercury is best summed up by the fact all it's top writers over the years have ended up elsewhere from Richard Broadbent to James Sharpe and obviously Rob Tanner. Blackwell will end up doing the same. It's become an increasingly lame publication over the years and putting it behind a paywall when there are free sources out there is just out of touch short-sightedness. It hasn't worked for a majority of the national press that have tried it so the local version has no chance.
  7. I wouldn't be against a seeded FA Cup draw either and giving the lower placed club the option of being home or away to either maximise their gate receipts or chances of progress.
  8. I can't believe the club wouldn't offer Vardy some sort of deal. If we release him, he'd be snapped up by another PL club, even if it's another promoted club, simply for his experience. It would certainly be his final year/deal but we'll be playing catch-up getting ourselves re-established and even 15-20 minute cameos chasing games he'd be a help. I'd be letting Ndidi and Iheanacho go. I know Wilf's had a great transformation under Enzo but he's also on a fair wedge and gets injured far too often with random muscle injuries for a couple of months at a time. With players like Sensi (and obviously others) available out there we'd surely be looking at other options? You'd think Iversen would attract a Championship club too. I'm not naive enough to think anyone at all will take Danny Ward until he's on a Bosman.
  9. Doesn't stretch as far as you'd think. Their chairman was saying last week the cup money would only make sure they stayed in the black this season and that they really needed a top club to make a difference. He was saying Wrexham and Stockport had 10m losses between them in their promotion seasons. Incredible for that level.
  10. Which is what I was saying about there being exceptions, it's difficult to bracket everyone the same. I've said for a long time the match day experience is terrible. For a while it was all a novelty - the stage outside and the kids stuff next to the Family Stand, pyrotechnics, light shows, clappers, t-shirt cannons and everything else pre-match. But it's become paint-by-numbers. In the way they brought clappers in for the Great Escape they should have been thinking ahead to other stuff to keep people involved, to keep the atmosphere alive but all they've done is more of the same. I mean FFS how many games do we have to see the semi-trained match day staff attempt and fail to use a t-shirt cannon? Flame displays and light shows that do nothing to excite or entertain. It's stale. The half time announcer guy asking people to make some noise. It needs a facelift and major rethink.
  11. As a fanbase, we have a lot of hobbyists. People who have LCFC as a thing in their lives but not their main passion, they follow the club, love the Vichai Had A Dream thing and will sit there for 90 mins on the hope they get a ten minute Vardy cameo. But their overall knowledge of tactics, analysis of styles of play, high press low block and the rest is like learning a foreign language. You look at other fanbases - Geordies, Scousers, Man City etc and it's their main love, their lives revolve round the club and it's success. The Enzo detractors, the 82nd minute leavers, the Gerrit Forwards fall into this category. Sure there's exceptions but by and large it's about your understanding of the game and how much time you invest in the club as to how you get your head around the tactics and style.
  12. Well most of that was pre-Schumacher. They were all bored of dull Alex Neil not getting results with negative football. Now they don't need to watch negative football, they can just get sliced open every week.
  13. Despite the goalscorers, Winks gets my MOTM. The guy oozes class, didn't miss a pass, started every positive move, ran the show. Special mention to Ricky P too.
  14. And Cannon was involved in the last two against Birmingham. He's got more presence than Daka and always looking for a ball in behind the CBs, anticipation seems better. It's the toss of a coin but I'd trust Cannon to finish from 6 yards, Daka isn't as convincing.
  15. Probably gave himself a massive pay rise at the same time as he was sorting out contracts for our deadwood. I wouldn't be surprised to find out he's on a better deal than some Championship managers.
  16. Hopefully this team. I'd normally go for Doyle but Justin is in form. Callum's looked a bit rusty since coming back in, seems to have lost a bit of confidence on the ball. Noticeable before the Swansea game he spent a few extra minutes after everyone had gone in pinging 40 yard balls to McAteer, good to see the commitment. Hoping the Daka selection last time was just to take advantage of their high line, Cannon looks a lot sharper around goal, always on the shoulder too.
  17. It needs a line drawing under it. Is Rudkin a clown? Yes. Out of his depth? Also yes? Does protesting, moaning or holding up banners get us anywhere? No. We need to be fully focused on backing the team and Enzo and getting us over the line. That's all that matters for the next 4 months. Rudkin - protests or not - is going nowhere so it's a waste of effort to try and get that to change.
  18. Time to revive the Silva chant... Oh oh Stefano Sensi Oh oh Leicester's new midfielder Oh oh we'll never see the fvcker playyyyy
  19. Even if we crossed the line the deduction would come next season because this season's PSR finishes on 30th June. That's how Forest landed in the brown stuff because they rejected a bid for Johnson in June and sold him for a higher fee to Spurs in August. We could be in the red til June as long as we sell deadwood at the end of the season.
  20. TBH if my boss handed me a £40k a week deal to sit and do nothing I'd snap his hand off. He's only going to get half that at best at any other club. It's a short career you get what you can. Whoever gave him that deal is the issue.
  21. There's dozens of them out there then. Transfer spending across the top two leagues was 87% down on last January. It's not in a mess, it's just maxed out. In any case, the fees and PSR compliance weren't the issue, they were agreed days ago and no-one wants to be in Everton or Forest's shoes next season waiting to lose points when we're trying to re-establish ourselves. The big issue was that this transfer dragged on for over 3 weeks and just like the Silva coçk up from a few seasons ago failed because someone didn't get the basics done quick enough.
  22. Is Jonny boy still in Thailand?
  23. It's nothing to do with his team, otherwise he wouldn't be over here doing medicals and agreeing terms. They just assumed we'd have done the basics and it looks like we haven't.
  24. Inter accepted our offer, the player passed his medical, all we needed to do was complete the basic paperwork. It's nothing to do with their side. They're sitting there waiting for a BACS transfer from King Power PLC and we've realised a foreign player might need a work permit 🙈
  25. I mean we offered £3m, they accepted. We offered £2m and they accepted and then we took the piss offering £500k and a later fee and they still accepted. Italian clubs are saying "Why is Jon Rudkin so difficult to deal with"
