  1. The irony of being dropped.
  2. Funny how many people turn there nose up at Dyche when his name has popped up in the past
  3. Yeah clearly with one of the most talented different age groups of young players in the country
  4. So he is recommended for the job and needs to be a face to face interview in a world where business meetings are constantly facilitated remotely. Or let’s just say, he is on holiday and offered the biggest role of his career. “Sorry John can I get back to you in 3 weeks just I’m on holiday or have a holiday planned. Sounds good to prospective employer in role that’s a massive step up the career ladder.
  5. Linked but not contacted by Preston, also linked to Blackpool
  6. That remains to be seen if he axed from the squad
  7. If that was the case it probably wouldn’t have taken an additional 3 weeks to appoint someone out of work.
  8. Chelsea don’t have any need to loan him, if it doesn’t add anything financially then he sits on the periphery and is potentially utilised if injuries dictate it.
  9. Chillwell is on nearly 200k and there was a article yesterday that no clubs are interested and he faces 6 months out of action “Ben Chilwell facing six months on the sidelines as Chelsea have ZERO offers for £190k-a-week defender”
  10. Disagree, irrespective if he is going back he is a game changer. 10 starts 4 goals and 2 assists from Midfield with 21 shots. To put that in perspective Vardy started all 16 with 6 goals and 3 assists 24 shots. If it wasn’t for fitness reasons it was poor management.
  11. So highly thought of, he was let go at the start of the season after finishing 23rd of 26th Manchester City’s Under-21s have made an impressive start to the new season after disappointment last time out. At Manchester City, underachieving isn’t accepted. Thankfully, supporters haven’t had to endure many lean spells in the last decade. Pep Guardiola simply won’t allow it. Nor will the club’s bosses, led by Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain. The results speak for themselves and no club in recent times have hoovered up more trophies than the Blues in East Manchester. City’s executives have created a winning culture that permeates all aspects of the club’s infrastructure, and runs through the first team, women’s side and underage set-up. Except, last season there was one standout anomaly: the Under-21s. City won just four league games at that age group in 2023/24 and finished 23rd in a league of 26. It was a shock given the Under-18s challenged for the title and won the FA Youth Cup, while the Under-21s had won the league in each of the previous three years. “I felt like last season we were a bunch of players put into a team and we’ve never really played before, whereas this season we have grown up together and we know each other inside out,” reflected Jahmai Simpson-Pusey, who captained the Under-18s in May’s Youth Cup final triumph. “I feel like with the good team bonding, we’ve been getting some good wins.” There were other reasons for last season’s slump, including the changes to the league format, the departure of notable youth players and, as a result, the selection of a slightly younger team at Under-21s level.
  12. Shields is credited for helping Southampton sign City pair Juan Larios and Samuel Edozie this summer, as well as Ainsley Maitland-Niles of Arsenal and Rangers’ Joe Aribo. A deal was already in place for Romeo Laviato join the club from City, although it is accepted Shields played an influential role behind the scenes. Pep actually credited Shields taking them all from City
  13. He didn’t take over Southampton, I wouldn’t say it was hopeless when he took over. He is meant to be an improvement, it’s been one of the shortest new managers bounces ever. Not to mention West Ham setting a record for shots and as an away side. 2 pastings in his last 2 games and serious red flags with the starting 11s and with Liverpool, Villa, Man City to come you wonder how much long term damage it will do to the players belief under a “new manager” if it’s 5 losses back to back
  14. On 190k not worth paying an aging defender 100k plus for a team than look likely to be playing championship football with the book about to be thrown next time they are relegated
  15. Teams last season just sat back giving him all the time in the world to ping a pass, now it’s the complete opposite. That’s said I don’t think it’s his passing that’s the concern it’s his speed and lead boots for jumping. The back four could all do with replacing if the funds were available with James given until the summer.
  16. It’s not like he brought his own coaches who don’t know the set up
  17. Averaged 60 percent in his last season with stoke only 2 keepers had lower save percentage although he only played 18
  18. Let’s be honest, If Mads ain’t fit it’s going to be ward in goal against Liverpool. To stick a young keeper in could ruin their confidence/career. We are on course to ship 80 plus goals this season and that’s been with a good goalkeeper for 14 games. This team has relegation written all over it. In the last 10 seasons only 4 teams have conceded more. Sheffield united 104 Luton 85 last season Norwich 84 20/21 Fulham 81 18/19 Hull 80 16/17 Something has to drastically change in January and it’s not just the Goalkeeper
  19. PTSD Landmine
  20. That’s what I like about him, his consistency
  21. on course to have the worst defence in the league by the New year
  22. GIVE it a week it will be back
  23. Probably something to do with finances PSR
  24. Liverpool up next should be fun
  25. on the back of 2 victories against us, which isnt exactly setting the bar too high
