  1. Established Premier league club near enough 4 middle table finishes from the last 4 years. 19 seasons in the Prem since 2000. Or Ipswich
  2. It’s June 10th the market is hardly a wash with new transfers
  3. fictional universe version with different spelling and face
  4. At this rate the star signings will be the best lawyers.
  5. “BURNLEY have been awarded £40million in damages from Everton in a landmark legal case which could open the way to massive future football compensation claims. BURNLEY have been awarded £40million in damages from Everton in a landmark legal case – which could open the way to massive future football compensation claims. The Clarets were given leave to sue Everton by a Prem tribunal in 2023 after the Toffees were initially deducted 10 points for PSR breaches in the 2021-22 season. Under Prem rules, clubs could only take legal action over PSR breaches by rivals if it was approved by a tribunal and commission chairman David Phillips QC ruled that Burnley, Leeds, Leicester, Nottingham Forest and Southampton all had the right to make compensation claims. It is understood only Burnley took up that option with the case proceeding to an official claim which was held under Prem rules in the autumn” Fortunately for us we didn’t need that income 👀. Is that door still ajar or have those clubs missed the boat?
  6. Seems logical for a club that fired the last 3 managers within a season and have financial issues. Even stranger when you consider the last 5 haven’t lasted more than a season
  7. If it is the 3/4 year deal mentioned, I just want everyone to know Samaritans now offer web chat in these the toughest of times
  8. Yes he doesn’t like the older ones because most have knocked one out over his wife at some point
  9. After it’s rumoured to be happening anyway
  10. Let’s be honest it’s somewhat of a poisoned chalice the last few seasons, no decent manager with half decent options on the table would want it. We don’t even know what the outcome of last seasons PSR will be and if that will have further implications for late next season. If you were Challinor you could sit tight and get a decent Championship job. We expect a reset, but the chances are we get journeymen players, just of a lower level.
  11. Man, you are missing out
  12. Talk about over exposure
  13. Yeah they just adjust the start date, or in Rowetts case finish date even though he probably is done already and the players on holiday
  14. As the main majority shareholder who do you think could sack him? Certainly no one from West Ham, he has had to step down because the newly formed IFR stepped in.
  15. Same could’ve been said for Southampton when they were relegated. Also I think Wolves and West Ham with have something to say about the the chances of Burnley walking the league
  16. A few offers, Martin has been in discussions with clubs both in England and overseas
  17. Percy saying he hadn’t accepted YET. Means it’s a bit more that normal advanced discussions, ie the ball is in his court as opposed to the club yet to make the decision.
  18. Martin has not accepted the job at this stage but is emerging as Leicester’s prime target for the task of reviving the former Premier League champions so he has been offered it, fortunately it seems like he has a few offers
  19. Rather him that Rowett if that was the shitty options
  20. What do you think he is going to be sold for? There is talk of £3m How many areas to think that’s going to strengthen including his replacement? that is his the cost of Souttars wages for a year but as I said previously if he is exempt from SCMP you are adding the replacements wage into the SCMP calculation.
  21. What are you suggesting then to replace a championship quality defender? Even 2m on a player plus their wages is the same. What would be the point? The only time it would make sense if they had adequate replacements on a free, and given our recent history of frees on high wages (BCR) and our poor track record with loans I wouldn’t think it’s worth the risk.
  22. That’s not the point though, you have a player on a 2 year contract that is at the World Cup. His value could go up, failing that he again wouldn’t need replacing if we were promoted. With our recent track record you hope his replacement is signed on a free or a fee and is an adequate replacement potentially in both divisions. Otherwise they need replacing again next year, even if they were sufficient at league one level. The long term output ends up being a lot more than the wages he would be paid over the same time. If he ends up being exempt from the SCMP, then he might as well be kept as opposed to another crap signing like Coulibaly coming in
  23. It is if they end up being £3/4m plus their wages on top and they are not as good
