Premier League 2025/26 Thread

Sunderland and Leeds need another 5 wins from 37 games to match our total wins and just another 9pts to match Southampton season. Last year really was atrocious -

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

He was purchased for the premier league and played in one of the worst teams ever. Flashes of brilliance at times, but I won’t remember him fondly. Good luck to him -
That’s why naive young players have greedy agents, they do all the pushing and chewing the players ears off

Maybe they are already here as youth players and just need a pathway and chance to progress -

It gets harder every season, parachute payments are reduced and 3 fresh teams with arguably better quality and more funds are added to the league. Plus we won’t know until next season the punishments for this season if we breach -

It’s easy access for when he gets rogered in every deal -
It’s the striker we needed so badly Astonished to see he had a season of 19 goals as an AM for Burnley and has nearly 40 goals in 200 games in the champ

Have you seen anything to suggest we can go up with them in the first 3 games? -

Yes mate always spot on In a recent report, journalists Ben Jacobs and Matt Smith mentioned that Manchester United are set to rival Everton for Leicester City ace Wilfried Ndidi. -

Johns ordered some colouring pens and some etch a sketch boards. That’s all the budget could cover -

Agreed, but imagine thinking of supplying Daka and Ayew for a season if you want to progress your career -

Sell as long as it’s for 30m plus showed flashes of being a good player but underwhelming in last years team, would rather Fatawu stays but that might be because he was injured so didn’t disappoint with the rest of the crap last season -
It’s one thing selling star players, it’s another if they are not replaced and the squad is not strengthened because of the sheer incompetence at board level. Once we are left with players no one wants, what’s next season the training ground? Women’s team? I bet they are hoping Monga has a storming season
-
Selling nearly 70m of players that were pure profit, allowed incomings. As did failing to submit the forecast until the accounts were balanced. Plus we have the tightest limits for complying with PSR in 10 seasons

Yes we are further behind the curve, those sales don’t even cover the short fall in reduction of PSR. Transfermarkt has the Ndidi fee at €8m, the other 2 sales had to clear the book price first before any of the amounts are considered profit. On a side note, I see players speaking out on PSR from Villa, because Ramsey had to be sold, when you consider they just got to the QF of the Champions league -

Well clearly we need to sell more players, so I assume it has been budgeted. Selling him and spending the equivalent, leaves us with 6m ndidi profit Mads maybe 10m after sells on, add ons. Thats not scratching the surface of what we done before and that was with the luxury of avoiding submitting the forecast and an additional 22m on the 3 year average for PSR. Zero funds spent and no loans in is very telling. Lets not forget we struggled to sack RVN £££££ -
2 pony strikers but what about trying something else maybe trying young players like Monga or Fatty who are both clearly talented has to be better than persisting with players like Daka and Ayew. Both Monga and Fatty have proved they have a eye for goal, playing them in a central role could solve our issue. In fact I wouldn’t even be adverse to trying a front 2 of Evans and Daka in the hope he stretches play if needs must.
