  1. I've worked with most of them at some point and they have significant values because they are well run. There are also other families in leics worth hundreds of millions. The point is, there is significant wealth in Leicestershire that is often talked down. Should someone wish to purchase the club, particularly now that it's value is as low as it's been for 10-15 years, then a local consortium would be possible.
  2. We are an underrated county in fairness. Next Dunelm Breedon Bloor Davidsons Barrats/dwh Sytner Holcim Samworth Boden Topps Ibstock plc There are plenty of businesses that can afford the club particularly at the moment with low ball offers incoming.
  3. I like this practice's work. Very stylish as a rule.
  4. Nope. I marched to the Globe earlier. I was a bit late meeting my brother otherwise it would have been a gentle stroll. Done my bit though.
  5. What are the smears? I've only heard his comments on the bond market being cited as an issue
  6. A client of mine tried to turn shops on pocklingtons walk to residential. It was rejected despite their being 140+ empty retail units in the city centre.
  7. I would never expect you to be. https://www.aboutamazon.co.uk/news/working-at-amazon/amazon-employee-benefits Most of this is probably fabrication in fairness.
  8. Unions kicking up trouble probably. It's been many years since I worked in warehousing but this place is incredible. I thought Toyota was good in terms of staff facilities, this was another level.
  9. Funnily enough, I been in an Amazon warehouse today. Fascinating to see, it is one of the less automated ones so they have around 1000 staff there. The treatment of the staff is better than anything I have seen at any other workplace. Socialists wet dream.
  10. Probably a good thing, the bit they can control is doing badly.
  11. The economy is odd at present. Its growing which is good news. But its mostly service sector which is presumably AI driven. Jobs 'on the ground' ie retail, hospitality and construction are in recession with job losses and insolvencies all over. There is also rock bottom consumer & business confidence. Its almost as if we are in a situation where the positive growth is disparate from peoples lived experience at the moment.
  12. He is an idiot. Should have stayed on and supported Starmer.
  13. I don't think its worth Starmer sitting down after today.
  14. Badenoch had her weetabix today.
  15. 47 independent businesses at LCB this weekend. All the events here are great and very family friendly.
  16. Not sure on the specifics but as that isn't criminal in any way I suspect it will be more severe that than. If that were the benchmark then it would be considerably more than 30.
  17. It is reported that there are around 30 Green councillors being investigated for racist or extremist content/comments and around 15 from Reform. Lets hope that any that are proved are removed from their positions.
  18. His biggest failure has been Reeves. If he sacks her this week and undoes her policies that attack employment and growth, he could still see out this term IMO. Mahmood and Streeting have been a success. Mahmood changing the government approach from Cooper has worked for them. All academic if people have less money to spend, unemployment is rising and businesses are going under all over the show.
  19. Reform and the Greens are full of the dregs of politics. This is going to go on for months as they realise what a bunch of idiots have been voted in.
  20. Probably Karl Turner. Whoever it was has nailed the situation.
  21. I wanted to reply with @Raj had clothes??? His house had a roof??? Flash f*ucker
  22. Said as someone that is loaded enough to afford the WiFi package in order to post that from their 4th cruise so far this year?
  23. I'm mid forties too. The life you describe does not reflect mine growing up at all. Both parents worked, fortnight holiday in a mates caravan each year, money was tight all the time growing up. Some of my most distinct memories as a child was ripping school trousers my mum couldn't afford to replace or losing a calculator and having to go without one. The utopia you describe doesn't match with the reality.
  24. Nothing to do with the truly horrific list of requirements by the procurement process of course. The hoops we have to jump through for public jobs mean we have to charge double what we would were it a private one.
  25. Lounge? I like the safety afforded by the lack of doors on the toilets as well as the sloping stainless steel tops to the porcelain.
