  1. I'm guessing they are hoping that some more European countries will step up as there are 3.2m standing armed forces to choose from. That figure won't include Turkey or other parts of NATO that have shown support.
  2. Rumours are that Trump will advise any country that doesn't hit 5% GDP on defence won't be defended under article 5. If this happens, then NATO is done and there will need to be a new treaty for everyone else except USA.
  3. No big clubs round there so it makes sense. Go north or west and you are competing. East and south and we should clean up. I think schlupp and chilwell were Milton Keynes way.
  4. Northants. But Nouboussie was a local lad and his Dad worked for LCFC. They still go when the big cash gets waved at them.
  5. We should be telling RVN that he needs 2 10 minute cameos in the next games so that his suitability for the first team can be assessed almost as a trial. If he shows that his current level isn't much different to BDCR or Ayew, then he ought to be offered a first team value contract and be in an around the first team squad. If he looks like a 15 year old playing in a mens side and barely touches the ball then offering him big money now becomes difficult.
  6. If his output at 16 was equivalent to a championship winger then he would sit £20-40kpw in terms of a budget. The problem is the club still sees him as a youth player, so we can't afford to pay him that, if we offered every 15 year old £40k PW rudkin would get hammered even more than he does. Players like Monga regardless of age that looks too good for the U21s must be given time in the first team if the club is to progress. Then his value right now can be assessed against other first teamers and his value will increase if he offers anything.
  7. Putin? He has had significant troops stationed on that border for years. It took NATO membership for him to have the confidence to move them. Incidentally Sweden and Finland appear to have a decent inventory of military kit. Finland has a reserve of 800k soldiers. I guess when your neighbour is Russia it focuses the mind towards defence.
  8. Since the invasion both Sweden and Finland joined NATO to protect themselves from Russia. Russias actions have been to reduce the troop numbers on those borders and send them to Ukraine. This suggests that they are less concerned by an attack from those countries now that they are in NATO than before.
  9. As development land I can't see that its worth enough to bother selling. £2.5m pays Vardy for 6 months and its gone, assuming its even worth that much.
  10. Monday is leftover day. Serve your secret recipe from Sunday, but drier and chewier. Possibly in a random sauce..
  11. He did. Its the most sensible way of commuting that far as a wealthy footballer.

None taken! Tradesman are going to be kings of the jobs market in the future. I can see them being on £200k pa within the next 10-15 years.

I'm an Engineer not a builder. We don't often do bucks for domestic work but would if you can't find someone reasonable locally.

If you get a surveyors report with pictures I'm happy to give it the once over if that helps?

If it's movement due to trees then it is subsidence and can be expensive to put right. It's also unmortgable in its current state. It would make it a cash only property and be devalued accordingly.
  16. You can get a Mach e for less than £20k that's under 2 years old.
  17. The only way they get built is if the government finances the builds themselves. The reduction in interest has stirred some activity amongst the housebuilders and they have been recruiting since January, but I expect this year to be a very low number of completed homes.
  18. Assuming that Anglea Rayner builds 300k homes per year for the next 15 years and every single one has a heat pump then that will form 13% straight away. You will probably have to ignore the fact that we won't build that many and hardly any have heat pumps in the above calculation however.
  19. I'm sure you are correct but it's not exactly roaring with success as you suggested. When profits are stated as a figure rather than a percentage it always skews things as the businesses in question usually have large turnovers.
  20. 8.2% isn't a great profit margin IMO.
  21. I don't know, but targeting SME owners will harm the country and the tax intake more than it will raise.
  22. Maybe. That website is an excellent blueprint of how not to do it though.
  23. All of those appear to screw small business owners and not 'wealthy' people.
  24. I've been in Germany this week and the AFD are everywhere. They had a stall in the marketplace today and the people looking were of various ethnicities. I wonder if we will see a similar pattern to the USA.

Since the Blair boom house prices have pretty much tracked inflation across the board. It's always forgotten when discussing the ability of the current generation to buy.
