Development/Youth Squads 2024/2025 Thread - U18/U21

The word is use is hype. The bigger clubs hype their youngsters up early on and give them first team minutes in televised games. Even if they know they are getting sold it raises what clubs will pay no end. As a minimum it means better quality clubs take them on loan. Alves and braybrooke struggling to get a loan is ridiculous. -
Justin could.

If Russia signs a peace agreement then it would be a very safe place for our troops to be I'm sure.
-
If the existing board recognise their failings and appoint competent staff below them then they can stay as far as I'm concerned.

Its a part of the decision making process within the EU so it would be. Particularly if Hungary or Slovakia which are part of the EU are able to block or delay actions but may not wish to join a European defence pact.
-
Away from the EU structure it removes the layers of decision making bought in by the MEPs. In truth it just needs the heads of states to agree an action going forward.

Whats missing from your narratives is the banning of fans for little to no reason, particularly where the fans in question criticise the club on SM. Its mentioned in the article about fans being reluctant to give names, but there should be more awareness as to why that is. Whilst discussing fan groups, I get why the @Foxes_Trust are officially steering clear of this action but there is no excuse for not wanting to find out why the bans are being issued to long time season ticket holders for little to no reason.

It would help if the EU was cut out of it and the nation states formed a co-operative like NATO. If the EU is involved it becomes a tortuous round of Vetos and posturing, the UK can't assist anymore. We probably need an ETO? setting up for the organised defence of the European states that doesn't include the rest of the world.

The riots helped Labour no end. SKS jumped on them quickly and squashed them which went well for him. There have been some mumblings about 2 tier policing afterwards, but otherwise it was helpful timing for them.

Because of this post I googled the royal opera house. What a stunning building demolished to build this abomination. -

The EU nations have political will not to upset each other but on defence can make their own decisions. If we hadn't left the EU I don't think the course of the war would have been any different. Talking to the EU about the future of Ukraine would be frustrating as the decision making process is cumbersome and I decisive. In terms of defence, Starmer will be talking to the individual leaders about continuing to support the Ukraine but he can't influence whether it will get EU membership which is where I suspect the dithering has come from. It's also not much to do with us whether they are members or not.

The second paragraph isn't true. Rees-Mogg has used the UKs position as a global leader as an example of the success of Brexit. He has said that not being forced to follow France and Germanys lead at the start allowed the UK to offer support that wasn't forthcoming from the EU. This is nonsense of course as the EU is not a defence alliance, even if many Eurocrats want it to be. Also worth mentioning to contradict you further, that Germany has now donated more than the UK and is second to the USA. It was slow to arrive due to Germany's friendliness to Russia at the start. France has been fairly unresponsive in terms of donating hardware, presumably due to Macron.
-
If it wasn't for the UK and the USA leading Europe on Ukraine, there wouldn't be a Ukraine anymore. A dig about our relations with the EU is fine, but we have been a leader in Europe throughout this conflict. You only have to see how much Germanys position has changed from not being willing to help at the start of the invasion to being one of the biggest donators of military hardware now to see that.

If we offer him a 4 year deal, then send him on ever higher loans, by the time he is 26 he will have played a full season in the Championship and we can release him. It seems a shame to get rid so soon.

And having campaigned alongside your current job for years, you get sacked because people no longer like your boss. While at work, no matter how well you do, you will be liable for volleys of abuse and long hours. Not for me. Its always worth noting that Headteachers earn up to £138k per year and the secretary of state for education earns £159k. Would the best Headteacher in the country give up their position for a £12k after tax salary increase, that swiftly becomes a £49k pay cut at the next cabinet re-shuffle?

I can't but feel you have underutilised the tools available. Beneath a tempestuous sky and amidst a cauldron of raw emotion, Will Alves ignited the stage with his dazzling debut for Cardiff City in an FA Cup Fourth Round clash against Stoke City—a match that defied expectation and culminated in an electrifying 3-3 deadlock after extra time. Summoned onto the pitch in the 82nd minute to replace Anwar El Ghazi, Alves arrived like a comet blazing through the night, his presence transforming the game into a spectacle of pulsating energy. As extra time unfolded, he carved his way into the heart of Stoke’s defenses with a mesmerizing display of audacity. In a moment that could have rewritten history, Alves unleashed a thunderbolt of a shot inside the penalty area—only to see fate intervene as a deflection sent it agonizingly wide. When the drama reached its crescendo, the match spiraled into a nerve-wracking penalty shootout. Here, Cardiff City emerged triumphant with a resounding 4-2 victory, their progress to the FA Cup Fifth Round sealed with an indomitable spirit. In that incandescent performance, Alves did more than just play; he heralded the arrival of a new era, his promise and potential shining as brightly as the floodlights on that unforgettable night.

All of this is true enough. What he isn't doing is as follows: - Deviating from the lopsided formation that cooper demonstrated doesn't work - Playing Okoli who is our most dominant defender - Getting form out of Buonanotte - Managing vardys time on the pitch and using Dakas work rate and pressing - Only playing Mavididi when he is isolated and triple marked to fully expose his flaws - only using skipp in a double pivot when he has demonstrated that he looks ok as a ball carrier and useless as a 6 -

I wonder how many parents of prodigies move house somewhere around the time they are being scouted? -
That's what I think. Doesn't keep the masses happy though not the politicians.
-
And they look effective. Which is more important.

You have to go down. If Daka was sharper he makes a movement away from the defender and goes down.
