  1. Or... That's what happens when you play like this most weeks but finally take your chances?
  2. You joke, but there were a lot of people on here believing relegation was a distinct possibility. You know who you are!
  3. Brilliant quote from Steven Schumacher after today's win at stoke:
  4. ref doing his best to get leeds the points - some very soft calls around the box.
  5. Kubiak has interviewed for New Orlean's OC job...
  6. really? he makes a difference, sure, but long term, especially if we go up, he's way too limited to play as #8 long term. and he doesn't have the skills to play the winks or ricardo role. i'd be very surprise if we resign him, he doesn't feel like he has the enzo stuff.
  7. no one outside of this thread will care about this - we won't be the only team who have a deal fall through.
  8. That's not evidence. It seems clear there was a verbal agreement satisfactory enough for all parties to move forward. Someone has either reneged on that deal (why would we if we want to complete the deal?) or the situation changed because we didn't make any last minute sales. Either way there's really nothing to say one way or another what went wrong. But it seems to me more likely that inter decided to try to take advantage of us wanting to get this done and having no option but to accept their terms, and we've just said 'actually, we aren't that desperate, we'll take our chances in summer'.
  9. But why would they do that - it's never going to pay off - and surely if they had done, then they come back and say ok, let's just go with what we agreed. It was more in our interests than inter's to see this through.
  10. There's been no reports of anyone being to blame - it could be either or both. If they are demanding a deal that we can't reach because of FFP then we obviously aren't able to proceed, therefore it's Inter who have caused the problem. I'm not sure what we could have done to make it unworkable because of FFP, other than not be able to meet their valuation.
  11. That's a completely different debate that i've no interest in having - you asked only about this deal, and my answer is a perfectly rational and reasonable take on the sensi deal.
  12. because we lost Casadei? Really? Watch us free fall now, as a result.
  13. Casadei was poor and ndidi was only good because we had no one else better, but he was/is not a #8. I've been more than impressed with Yunus, and now we have shown that Raikhy can step up - it's not like we lost any significant quality, or that we didn't have excess to start with.
  14. It seems more than reasonable - there's no reason why we would sabotage something that benefits us, whilst every reason for inter to try and call our bluff and ask for more than we feel is right, or that we can afford.
  15. How about: he was a luxury signing who wasn't worth risking breaching FFP for, who will still probably be available in the summer on a free. People in meltdown because we haven't seen it through, but maybe that's because the club aren't idiots who are prepared to føkk everything just to have a player who we don't really need coming in. It's not exactly a mystery.
  16. That wasn't the point i was discussing - the OP said Rudkin should be aware of the legal ramifications, but, not being a lawyer, he can only follow the advice he is given.
  17. With lawyers, not with DoFs. We haven't breached FFP, which would suggest we know exactly what we're doing as far as FFP is concerned.
  18. Well, not necessarily - the plan was always that we'd sell someone first, because we haven't done that, maybe we're trying to rejig the deal without needing to sell?
  19. Is it not possible that the original plan was that we'd sell someone and that the sudden recalculation is because we're trying to find a way to do this with out selling anyone?
  20. he's a DoF not a lawyer - i'd be very surprised if they don't have a legal team involved at this stage - we're talking about million pound deals and super complex FFP rules. I think everyone is massively oversimplifying these things.
  21. If that were the case then i doubt we'd have spent 40-odd million in the summer.
  22. And yet we are.
  23. Yes , i'm sure they were sitting there thinking - we can't afford this, but let's just go through with it anyway. The fact that he's over here for a medical suggests that they felt that they could afford it, none of the latest reports have said anything about money.
  24. Well connected? So literally sitting in with the recruitment team right now? It's all just guess work - none of us know. But most of the media seems to be pointing to a 'legal issue' which is perfectly reasonable, unfortunate, but these things do happen-
  25. Yeah, I mean it's not like they had anything to do with rebuilding the most dysfunctional team in our history and creating from the rubble the most successful championship team in history....
