superb work. So, given that, over the season, leeds and ipswich are averaging 2.1 ppg, it's not unreasonable to think that, all things remaining equal, 10 more points could be enough

40 games in and you still think the passing around the defense is 'pointless'? It's because it goads the opposition that allows us to play more directly. it is when teams don't press that things slow down and retard the forward intent. It doesn't matter what tactics a team employs, you'll always get the odd error; i don't imagine we're any worse than any other team.

Can someone tell me what this means?

I think this is why british people resent the way american's talk about the sport -
Amusing observations, yes, but comedy genius...?
-
Someone gave me a copy of Bill Bryson's - Notes from a small island. An interesting take, but not quite the comedy gold i was expecting. It's also starting to age badly with some of the satire now lost and the outdated references to homosexuals and women.

I don't think that's true. Early on we were making subs and they were scoring and assisting. Then he seemed to abandon making many subs. Or was making few substitutions which weren't great because they were usually too little too late. Now he's back on it, and they've been great again.

um.... Yes you can.

Um, because most of them haven't got the faintest clue?

Or, alternately, all have everything to play for so might be nervous, or more focussed on not losing rather than actually trying to win (which tends to be good for us).

but the goals and points were referring to his coaching pedigree, can't imagine assists would be that significant compared to how many points his teams have won? -
This has to be the dumbest thing i've read - the idea that we'd 'swap' KDH - surely the only reason why we'd let him go is to boost our income, a swap deal wouldn't make any difference to the PSR, would it? https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/an-unbelievable-talent-carlton-palmer-makes-eddie-nketiah/

Birmingham, without question, sat back.

Leicester 2-1 Birmingham POST MATCH.

To be fair, faes has probably played that ball to mads hundreds of times this season, it should never have resulted in a goal. I can only imagine that mads just didn't see the attacker until he was already committed to kicking it - otherwise i think he'd have just played the simple ball to doyle, or turned it back away from spearing - no other reason why he would have made the decision he made. -
And more often than not those off days come when we're trying to force the issue and rushing and panicking - the result being bad decision making, poor execution and errors leading to counter attacks.
-
Well, that's not how i remember it, felt to me like we totally dominated and were camped out on the edge of their box, birmingham were defending frantically at times. It feels like people can't understand that when you have 75+% of the ball (as we had for the last 20 minutes) that you can't play a fast direct type of football, all you can do is to stay patient and focussed and keep creating, and that's exactly what we did. As for lethargic, i'd like to see you go up to that squad of players, face to face, add accuse them of being lethargic. It's been a long season with a lot of games, and they're fighting every minute, very easy for fans to sit there and expect 100% for 90+ minutes every 3 or 4 days. The lack of respect from some fans for what enzo has done, and what the players have put into this season, beggars belief.

I think it's pretty obvious - as a coach his teams have gained more points and scored more goals than any other coach's team. All region selection is like being selected for the 'team of the season' within his region. he was selected twice. -
I fail to see how anyone could describe that second half 'slow and lacking urgency' we were relentless - 10 shots and 7 on target - what more could you ask for? Whether you like it or not, 'patience' has served us well this season, especially with so many teams parking the bus. As KDH has said, if you aren't patient it becomes a basketball game - and those are the types of games we struggle in.

He missed a chance to give faes a red - must have forgot which team he was playing for.
