  1. Erm ... Said exactly this?
  2. It would probably be helpful to refer to followers of Judaism as Jews, and those of decent from Jacob as Hebrews/Israelis/Israelites. Jews are not necessarily Jews by birth or nationality, and not all Israelis follow Judaism. No one refers to white Europeans as Christians as a primary identifier. Why do it for the people who live in Israel? NB: there are over 400 mosques in Israel and Muslims make up 18% of the population.
  3. Which one? Krishna or "he who shall not be named" (Stone him!)
  4. I think (in the UK) there's only a couple that will kill you quickly, and several that will make you quite sick and most just taste horrible. A favourite of mine is to slice a puffball like bread and fry it in egg, like French toast.
  5. Israel are crap at cricket. Fact!
  6. There was a footballer called Daka Who had a gambling backer When asked, "should I bet?" He replied, "no, not yet!' "I wouldn't want to knacker your acca."
  7. Chelmsford tongue-in-cheek signs must end, says Essex Highways - BBC News https://share.google/0mE5VEa9DWoZG1NK7
  8. There was an old man of St Bees Who was stung on the arm by a wasp When asked, "does it hurt?" He replied, "No, it doesn't' "I'm just glad it wasn't a hornet!"
  9. I was in the process of planning one, until I broke my arm Earlier this year I built two mini ponds using large plastic planters.
  10. You can take his naan, but you'll never take his bagel!
  11. Will you two just get a room?
  12. Very, very Hindu Indian, with a bit of Sikh, Turkish, middle-eastern too. This is going back to the 80s when I spent a lot of time round there. Felt multi-cultural in a nice way, though there were still idiots who would try to stir stuff up. It certainly wasn't "high class", but it was homely and comfortable, at least to those of us who weren't intimidated just because people were different. Honestly, I'd attribute the decline to students initially, in the 90s, crammed into bedsits, which were then replaced by cheap European labour. Neither of these groups, students and immigrants (then) had any investment in their neighborhood. Get a degree; go home - earn a wedge; go home. In general, when you cram people into small areas with no reason to connect, trouble will unfurl.
  13. No more jousting for me.
  14. For how long?
  15. Reminds me of the V1 Doodlebug.
  16. I don't have to try!
  17. So you know @Raj then?
  18. They do now
  19. They're called students.
  20. So why did you do it then? And joking aside, for me, I'm associating that image with white Brits on benefits on council estates up and down the country. So are you saying that immigrants weren't happy about being kept up, cos they had to work in the morning?
  21. I think you'll find that after the next ban, it'll be Bentley's Roof for you mate.
  22. Slight adjustment to this. Leading source of electricity. Furthermore, fossil fuel (coal, oil and gas) as a collective block still dominate. While it's good news it's important to maintain perspective. Still things such as USA's renewables growth prediction being halved are of concern. Renewables overtake coal as world's biggest source of electricity - BBC News https://share.google/oKzr9an5KSgKPdArO Interesting that the article describes China as a developing nation... not sure we can say that anymore.
