  1. Really tidy ball from Ayew there to be fair. Unlucky Mav.
  2. These look like a proper rag tag band of strangers, but they're giving it a go.
  3. Okoli's distribution is absolutely honking.
  4. "Ayew - we know what an energetic customer he is", apparently.
  5. Ayew literally cannot stay on his feet for love nor money. 🤦‍♂️
  6. Grim lineup. There's maybe 5 potential long-term starters on the pitch there. Imagine this squad being one of the highest paid in the country, let alone the league. Hopefully Ayew off early for Richards.
  7. Wonder where he got that from 😏
  8. Of course, but nor should we steamroller and ignore those people as is currently the case. We need big thinkers and a multifaceted approach, like you said, but unfortunately our political and civil spaces seem devoid of that.
  9. That's our immediate problem, as of now, being asset stripped on the cheap. Fatawu and Khannous would have been worth upwards of 50M each if we were on a stable footing, but we'll be lucky to save face with 20M apiece going forward.
  10. Absolutely, and in terms of walking the walk there's has to be acknowledgement of, and mitigation for, those who are most affected by said policies at home i.e. less well off people with unaffordable utility bills.
  11. Only 1 more if we go down as parachute payments only apply in the Championship. Aside from the fact we've already sold that income to Macquarie as I understand.
  12. Now we're talking. I hope that would be possible as the youth shouldn't be punished for the failings of the 'men'. 🤞
  13. In related news I've had enough of this wintry mix for one year.
  14. Real - Human influenced, but, I think we've reached a point where planning for and mitigating the consequences (along with investing in renewables and scientific break-throughs) is going to be less costly, in every sense, than hamstringing ourselves to barely make a dent in global emissions due to our size. Obviously in an ideal world we would all move in lockstep towards net zero emissions (in as much as that is possible and discounting all the con tricks that currently allow it to appear that way), but the future of climate channge is going to be determined by China, India and the Americas so we need to stop martyring ourselves and start dealing with reality.
  15. True, but taking away our world class facilities, particularly from the youth team, could then compound our problems and contribute to keeping us meandering in the mire. We would then become more likely to be tempted to sell it to Forest to stay afloat, and I, for one, would rather it was demolished than that. On the other hand, going back to basics with facilities in League One could be the jolt of reality that helps our pampered losers bounce straight back up. Let us pray it is the latter should, as is seeming increasingly likely, it come to it. 🙏
  16. Don't know if I could cope with that 😂 😭
  17. Nobody will pay serious money for it when they're expecting us to go into administration in the near future and the only suitors for it are Nottingham Forest 🤢🤮. I think this is the one thing to do with our club where it is right to say 'be careful what you wish for'.
  18. I think so. Also think there are limits on its sale value and what it can be used for that make us better off keeping it. In an ideal world we'd keep it for the women and make them as world class as our youth team. Then eventually catch up with the men again.
  19. Eurgh! If Forest got Seagrave off us, and at pennys on the pound at that, it would be worse than never having built it at all. I could never forgive that.
  20. The longer we are out of the Prem the more of a white elephant it becomes. I'm just praying, against my better judgement, that we somehow manage to limp along with Seagrave in tow and even more importantly our Cat 1 youth academy as that is our only edge over clubs outside the top half of the EPL. 🙏
  21. Yea, to end up with wages more than 100% of income on top of our running costs when you include Premier League income is criminally negligent. I'm still clinging onto the hope that we can somehow limp along with Seagrave at the same time as keeping the Cat 1 youth academy as that's our main edge over other teams outside the top half of the EPL. 🙏
  22. Yea, I don't think anyone in upper management comes out of this well and still think the even more inept actors in Rudkin & Top threw her under the bus in an attempt to save themselves.
  23. Sure, but with much higher running costs and an owner in financial turmoil outside of football as well as in. I'm just praying they somehow get lucky with the next appointment again. 🙏🤞🍀
