  1. It's a no brainer lift for everyone at a time when there is no hope. It might well be enough to galvanise us to survive by the skin of our teeth. IF we do it now. Otherwise we are gone.
  2. From 15.58 if it hasn't already been posted. Seems to think we're on deaths door.
  3. I swear everyone immediately smacking down Pearson playing any part in rescuing us is part of a bot farm that Rudkin has paid someone on Fiverr to run.
  4. Funny you should mention that just as I'm watching Charlie Methven on Business of Sport talk about how we are in a worse situation than Bolton & Derby when they nearly got liquidated if we go down to League One.
  5. We need a firefighter and fast, like last week. If Pearson was willing to come back as the mascot I'd take him at this point. Any serious people in the room would be one more than we have now.
  6. Oh, the Devil will find work for idle hands to do...
  7. If Kingy is left to flounder on his own we go down with 47 points. 4 wins, 3 draws, 7 losses. Which is still way better than our current form.
  8. Exactly. Rudkins 'shortlist' consists of Southampton cast offs and has-beens that may have been a good appointment several years ago.
  9. Right now though? When they will almost certainly get a relegation on their CV? Even a few weeks ago they might have fancied themselves, but a couple more losses and sitting in 22nd they would have to be a bit mad and furiously back themselves to try it. In the summer it changes somewhat, but even then, who is this mythical beast, and do we trust what passes as our current executive suite to find them?
  10. We're on a hell of a downward flywheel spiral here. We're already struggling to recruit, yet the more we lose, the more inevitable League One is, and the more inevitable League One is, the less likely we are to attract a competent upwardly mobile candidate. Once we enter the relegation spots, with our form record, we're going to be stuck with a reluctant, increasingly depressed and unfairly targeted Andy King until the summer... at least... King Power Out.
  11. Yea, Dyche would laugh at us (along with Frank, Enzo, etc), aside from the fact all our weak players would down tools the second he raised his gravelly voice at them. You need enough of a certain type of working class player ethic in the squad for Dyche to work and we have a bunch of silver spooned losers so this is a double non-starter.
  12. Yea, I was struggling with the right wing. I've replaced him with Josh Low and Rab Douglas with Danny Ward now. 👍
  13. True. I was thinking worst XI in terms of ability and performance that would struggle in League One now, but if we're talking value for money then pull names out of a hat from the last few years.
  14. I know. Before I had a think about it I just had him associated with the Prem relegation that lead to League One originally. Forgetting about Peter Taylor, Craig Levein and all the other no marks we had in and around then. I was young, dumb and full of alcohol at the time is my excuse. In hindsight our history of managers is horrific and the O'Neill, Pearson and Ranieri types are wildly outnumbered by dross or no marks. I've been sufficiently flamed now. 😅👍
  15. That's the one.
  16. Yea, him too. We've had some shit to be fair. 😆
  17. Yea, Cifuentes and RVN are well below him. Forgot about Paulo Sousa altogether.
  18. Yea, Cifuentes and RVN are well below him. Forgot about Paulo Sousa altogether.
  19. I dunno. I was drunk for most of that era, but remember the relegation and downward spiral. Forgot about Craig Levein altogether and Peter Taylor starting the rot.
  20. I was struggling for a right winger and thought he was underwhelming. Anyone got a good one?
  21. He got us relegated from the Prem, and then bottom half of the Championship when he left, but I suppose Peter Taylor was worse as he started the downfall that lead to our first League One season. I had a season ticket then and I can still barely remember it 🤷‍♂️😆
  22. I forgot Danny Ward as well. He beats Rab Douglas to be fair.
  23. Manager would be Mickey Adams or Martin Allen.
  24. Agree with this. As far as worst team goes it has never been worse than now, but individually they've pretty much all had good spells with us and at a high level elsewhere. The character flaws and mentality are something I've never seen so bad anywhere though.
  25. Rab Douglas Kenton. Faes. McGivern. Thomas. B.Mckinley. J.Lewis. J.Jarrett. J.Hamill. E.Hammond. T. Benjamin Some of these might be harsh as I only vaguely remember them, but that's my attempt at a full god awful XI.
