How thick have you got to be to start looking at the offside in the earlier phase of play when the last move invalidates the prior move if it's offside? Could have saved us 2 minutes on that last VAR check alone with some base level competence...

We'd have been better off paying off his contract and releasing him than having him here. If he had any self respect he'd take a reduced lump sum to leave, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

The point is he has to have an element of trust in the staff already at the club. He can't have found out everything already. Ward has been our number 2 all season & probably just about passes as a professional footballer when the pressure is off in training, so he can be forgiven for being non the wiser until now. I blame everyone else at the club before him.

He's probably trusting our staff and Cooper's prior judgement in keeping him as number 2. I doubt with all that we need fixing our 2nd & 3rd choice keepers have had a lot of consideration until now. I imagine he's the most shocked in the stadium.

If Ruud has any bollocks he will sub Danny Ward off for an outfield player. Really make the point to the sleeping spanners in charge.
