Personally, i think we should cut all the faffing around and get the more main political parties to get a team of MPs together and have a game of It's a knock out. Celebreties can be included. Seeing Meatloaf run around trying to catch Steve Cram definitely improved by opinion of him. If Dianne abbott did the same to Nigel Farage, i might be tempted to vote for her...

i find all this ' hope he does badly' talk a little bit childish..... I mean, for them most part we are all grown adults and lets not kid ourselves, the club would have dropped him like a hot potato had it not worked out with him. Why are we expecting a level of loyalty from him that we wouldn't have shown ourselves?

im going to hazard a guess that the club owners have decided " buggrit" to the championship FFP regulations and have concluded that the only possible course of action is to not get relegated and thus not be open to any sanctions for the championship season. I cant think of any other reason why we would allow all the Maresca comp money to go towards next seasons budgets..

for what it’s worth, I completely agree with you - if Bologna don’t get their act together, someone else’s will swoop in and get him for that price..

To be fair, hes been instrumental for his club obtaining champions league football next season and we almost through away nailed on promotion, so its clear to me that he's backed up his talk with performances..

well we will never fully understand what's gone on behind closed doors of course... But I was quite surprised that the club came out swinging with their statements and 'leaked' info.... its almost as if they were on damage limitation and wanted to get in a pre-emptive strike before the Balogue article dropped..

i know its hard to tell on FT especially when i post randomly like this without an explanation, but i have posted in this thread about how i totally understand why hes done what he's done and the club can take some responsibility for leading him up the garden path a little bit... This was just me adding a slightly satirical slant to the day.

so this is clearly a one sided statement. Little bit unnecessary for the club to make the statement they did and for this to be ‘ leaked’.. I will say though that if he rejected the Seville and Porto jobs, then he clearly didn’t ’ jump ship at the first opportunity’

All Chelsea fans care about at the moment is results. If he gets them into the top four after a few games, they'll take the methodical approach to the football. Slow start, and they will be baying for blood. Maresca quickly won over our players and I have no doubt he’ll do the same at Chelsea. i think he’ll be a big success there.

i remember part of the loan deal was that we would NOT put in an offer for him and unsettle him when the loan had finished. we did anyway . Hiwever, it was my understanding that the offer was 400k. Which was still a lot of money for us at the time.
