It’s partly to do with how they define the constitution. The right interpret the constitution as something that was set up to protect their religious freedom and freedom from tyrannical rule ( ironic when you consider who is running for presidency) Whilst the left would point to the anthem to define freedom and say “ this is either the land of the free or it’s not. There’s no inbetween” it’s a rough and shoddy explanation maybe but I have another patient coming in so back to it!
