I can only imagine that someone somewhere is thinking that promotion is in the bag ( dangerous) more rebuilding is needed and it’s easier/ cheaper to do that now rather than wait until the summer. That’s if we sell. We might not. Fatawu for example, wouldn’t have been able to go straight into a starting prem team. He should be fine next season if we get promoted. Same for Mavididi and Hermansen.

I hate to say it but there have been some serious overreactions in this thread. no one wants to lose KDH. I certainly don’t. It would be terrible, but it wouldn’t be a disaster. the disaster of course would be not replacing him. And in fairness the recruitment policy so far this season has been excellent so, I don’t want them to, and it would be a gamble if they did, but If we sell him for 40m spend 30m on 3-4 replacements, it could give us a nice balance to the squad . If we can get in a couple of no 8s similar quality to mavididi and Fatawu, a new LB defender/MD and an attacking midfielder all for the price of KDH and some extra to comply with FFP then that wouldn’t be a disaster. Every cloud has a silver lining and all that. preferred option would still be to keep KDH, of course…

I believe this has the intention of putting the feelers out and trying to unsettle the player. They are probably trying to see how desperate we are and whether he’s well up for a move or not. They are trying to get US ( club or player) to be the ones that contact THEM over the move.. either that or it’s contract time..
