  1. Make the step up to where out of interest? He's definitely an interesting one - Record over the past few seasons is phenomenal....I don't think he even takes penalties for Notts Co. You'd think someone would take a punt on him this Summer...
  2. Not sure if he's good enough to be honest but I can't help but like him. Can't we follow the way of the Italian clubs and renegotiate the fee down to around £1.5m? Good deal for everyone then!
  3. Bold claim. Guess we'll see pretty soon if you're right.
  4. Just watched a YouTube complication of him...just to remind myself how good he could be at times. Such a frustrating player - Should have absolutely dominated this season. Ah well, thanks for the memories Kel.
  5. Interesting article given it's from Enzo's media mouthpiece. 'Considering his options' - Sounds like he'd probably like to leave. Maybe we'll make some of the money back we had to fork out to get rid of BR!
  6. This, pretty much. Did well this season before his injury though to be fair - Just a shame he's leaving on a free now.
  7. Recruitment absolutely crucial, obviously. Not necessarily about money either - Burnley had a better Championship winning season than us, spent £100m, and have still barely put up a fight - Never mind stayed up! There has to be good value out there. Hungry players with quality and who are desperate to succeed - Just a case of finding them!
  8. Staying up with the squad we have as it stands now would be a phenomenal achievement.
  9. His behaviour didn’t ‘offend’ me, it was more second hand embarrassment. He just seemed a pretty unpleasant bloke…which he probably is. What a player though.
  10. Christ. Almost all of the Vardy clips from the parade are an embarrassment. I suppose it’s great he’s never changed, but still
  11. Hmm. So piled onto one of the Directors who is already getting stick for a laugh? I doubt it.
  12. Interesting. So he’s not happy with Rudkin then. Either he’s been told he’s not getting a new deal (unlikely), or he’s not happy with what he’s been offered. Has to said that if it’s the latter and the club is tightening its wage structure - It could be a sign we’re learning from our mistakes…
  13. His output has been decent in a mid-table team this season. Still doesn't look particularly fit post-injury either - Used to be a lot leaner and more athletic looking than he is now. There is potential there.
  14. He got a ~£50m Summer transfer kitty as a Championship manager - Not sure what he's not happy about! Fair enough, he wasn't able to strengthen in January, but it's notoriously difficult for everyone to get players in during that window. He's had loads of backing and ultimately a successful season - He should be over the moon!
  15. It's going to be another season of watching him at the back in the PL isn't it. Unbelievable.
  16. Hoping for a good win. A win would put us 7th on the all-time second tier points list - We're already 4th. Nice to have two marks in the top 10.
  17. Wow. Did not see that coming. They're likely to qualify for the CL aren't they? Tell them to cough up!
  18. Surely this is the first one through the door??
  19. Add in a reconstruction of a DJ Campbell offside - Proper linesman and everything.
  20. He's not a PL player anymore. I guess we might have no choice but to offer him an extension though.
  21. Still think he’s been carried by the quality of the squad but I was never in the Enzo out brigade. He’s learning on the job. Next year will be the real test. The experience of this season plus a good Summer transfer window gives him a real chance to build something here. We need some luck recruitment wise though it feels like. Unearth some gems on the cheap who are hungry to succeed.
  22. His; ‘I might not be’ reply to being asked if he’s going to be here next year… Sounds like he’s waiting/hoping to be offered a new deal. He’ll be here another year.
  23. Really? Even when you consider the remaining book value and his (probably) high wage. I doubt it. I’ve been impressed when I’ve seen him, but he’ll be another we struggle to move on unless it’s loan deals.
  24. Love the Championship. Grew up watching us a lot in the old first division so still have a lot of nostalgia for it. It’s just a shame that being in it now equates to financial ruin if you’ve been relegated. You almost can’t seem to enjoy it for what it is when you have that hanging over you.
