SC said he watched every single game from last season - Seems he thinks he can get more out of those two. I agree with all points…It’s worrying. Playing it off as a friendly is fine, as long as he is willing to accept that certain things don’t work and doesn’t have a set in stone system in mind.
-
He’s Wales’ number one…decent chance Cooper rates him. Plus he was the only player the fans were singing about last night. Slightly ironic, but SC wouldn’t have got that! Could be in for a tougher season than I thought.

He's no Maupay, but we'll take him.

What a refreshing take. Thank you.

We could do with more shithouses. Ones that can actually play football though ideally.

Championship Manager 01/02 (Yes Really!)

Probably the best game ever made. I still go back to it every few years I've tried it with updated squads etc, but it's just not the same. I need my fix of signing Taribo West on a free for the 1000th time. It's quite fun playing around with some of the scouting applications as well. Allows you to look at hidden/intrinsic attributes, so the ones that are actually used by the match engine. Bit cheaty obviously, but entertaining. -
Concerns about the direction of the club
James_lcfc replied to Lambert09's topic in Leicester City Forum
Wouldn’t say it’s a terrible shout to be fair. Biggest wage bill to ever get relegated? We were absolutely awful from the start. Whole thing was an embarrassment given where we’d been in the years before. -
West Ham have other targets and Roma can't afford him. He'll end up here, it's just going to take a bit of time as he waits for a better offer. Just liked Ndidi did I guess and people weren't particularly up in arms about that.
-
Really looking forward to seeing how he fares this year. He's got so much ability, so much so that his 18 G/A probably represents a slight underachievement for him at Championship level. Still found a lot of the stick he got on here at times to be utterly baffling. Big season for him incoming.
-
Need more blind optimism in here. The contract has already been signed!
-
Apologies, wasn’t a particularly serious post. ….but he is aging in professional athlete terms and we can’t rely on him forever.
-
Well even £35m would make him one of the most expensive GK’s ever. In the top 5 I think? Depends what you class as ‘silly money’ I guess.
-
Nah, a spine of Ward, Faes, Ndidi and an aging Vardy will be fine mate. Stop worrying
-
I guess none of us would be particularly surprised by this. Love Mads, one of my favourites of the current squad, but £45m would be good business I think.
-
No he probably isn’t too keen on coming here. But if he does, a lot of it would be down to the PL and the potential exposure. He’ll be extremely motivated to do well. I wouldn’t worry about his commitment levels, genuinely.
-
Age, injuries, salary all a big issue. ...but he is exactly what we need at the moment. Almost couldn't make a better signing for this season.
-
Was just about to post the same - I'm not much of a Youtube highlights guy, but definitely like the look of him.
-
Isn't that like £35k/week? Someone needs to tell big Matias that we've got squad players on double that!
-
I think he's comfortably better than any of our CB's too. Just shows how opinions in football can differ pretty massively I guess. Social media and the media in general has swayed a lot of people's opinion on him though I think.
-
Would you do it for an extra £20k/week? If you back yourself and do really well in the PL, you are suddenly a pretty global star. He'd probably rather go to Roma still, but I think we'd at least be a consideration...for a few minutes anyway!
-
Until the fat old lady sings!
-
Always in the winning teams in the small sided games though isn't he. Proving us all wrong, one photo at a time.
-
He's had a good career in the end, fair play to him. Loads of Championship appearances and a decent amount at PL level too. Always thought he'd end up a lower league player at best when he was with us. Didn't rate him at all.
-
No, I agree - Never looked particularly fit. I was impressed with what I saw though. Looked strong and was always quick to get a powerful and accurate shot off. Fully fit and sharp I think he'd be a real asset.
-
Stress fracture in his back I think it was. The club knew about it beforehand so he was obviously one they wanted for the future. Or to help Everton with their PSR because we're nice. One or the other.
