I think Winks’ game is more reliant on ‘Enzoball’. As much as I like Winks, I’d rather have KDH next season if I had to choose - Just that little bit more dynamism and still improving. Agree on the fee though - It’s probably fair all things considered.

Depends if he wants to stay in England or not I guess. He'll have to stay with us if he does. I just really can't see another PL team wanting him. High wages and pretty poor technically. We're the only ones stupid enough to give him what he wants now.

Very true of course, but a PL club will always be pretty attractive to managers? Plus with the constraints/points deductions etc we could be seen as a bit of a free hit - Shouldn't be too reputation damaging for the manager if things don't go well this year.

Double that when we were in the PL. So he will almost certainly be looking for that salary or close again.

I think 30-40 games in a top 6 Championship team would be unbelievable for his development. Much better than a few sub appearances for a PL relegation scrapper like we’re going to be anyway. If he’s ready to play a lot of games for us this year, then fair enough, but surely he needs to be playing a decent amount of senior football this year?

He could probably demand a decent wage if he’s as hyped up in the wider football world as he is on this forum! I’m desperate to board the hype train too…I would just like to see him start a first team game first!…

True. ...and to be fair, if the little rumours in here about him ostracising VK because he was a threat to his mates position are true...you would be right about him being a bad egg!

I'd rather get on holiday with my family as well...rather than play in a warm-up game for a tournament I'm not even going to.

I agree he wasn't great, but neither was 90% of the squad. His attitude always seemed good to me though, no idea where you've got that from.
