  1. Theatre of nightmares for us tonight
  2. With tongues
  3. Having freedom of speech - can’t even objectively comment on the budget without being locked out a thread? Not being abusive or hateful etc. Are we really getting to the stage where you can only post statements about something and not engage in debate.
  4. You do realise the Ers NI increase will stifle pay reviews for employees going forward?
  5. Stop buying the cheap ones then you tight git
  6. Because I don’t view life through the lens of “it’s not as rubbish as it was so it must be better”. This budget is an economic tragedy and will affect everyone posting on this forum negatively - whether you chose to believe this or not is up to you. The way the tories ran the country during Covid was a joke, Boris is a joke, Truss is an ever bigger joke. Who is arguing with that? Doesn’t mean you can’t now comment on a budget where a government is trying to tax their way out of it - and blatantly lie through their teeth during the election process, this is what Labour does and it will all unfold over the current term. They aren’t well supported and the popularity nosedive has been devastating since July.
  7. Which parts of it make you happy ?
  8. The working person voted in the government based on a load of promises they have just rowed back on.
  9. Enjoyed Rishi’s summary - saved his best speech until last, absolutely destroyed Rachel Thieves. OBR confirm no £22bn black hole - that we have had thrusted down our necks for 3 months. Anti growth, anti business, and including private pensions in your estates Shocking budget for the working person, and we will see the fallout from this over the next cpl of years.
  10. What about the tens of thousands of businesses outside say the FTSE250 where this will apply too? This is so short sighted by the government - they could have found the money elsewhere.
  11. Gits meaning the government I presume ?
  12. Who can name all the teams then without looking it up
  13. @JonnyBoy
  14. I’d take the red line and probably cut someone up as you are more likely to be stuck behind a ditherer on the blue route.
  15. Course it will. You will see NIL or 1% payrises next year in the private sector.
  16. A bag of crisps in London and a 3 bed semi in Middlesbrough probably.
  17. I think the point he’s making is these sort of details would have been known pretty quickly but the narrative released was different….until today. I don’t think he said the rioting was justified
  18. Yeh it is but that wasn’t the point he’s making?
  19. To be fair the riot bit - he didn’t make a comment on, you just added that bit. Anyone with a sane mind would disagree with violence towards people (Asylum seekers) or police.
  20. Probably not - it will just mean people in the 18-21 age bracket will have more disposable income than middle earners (not in absolute terms just pre and post budget) We’ll get a rate cut on Nov 7th, I’d be shocked if not. Hopeful
  21. Looks like tomorrow one thing I can get on board with is the expansion of the carers allowance to allow people to earn £180 a week rather than £150 currently before you lose carers allowance status. Still a pittance but it’s a step in the right direction. Be interesting to see the markets reaction to the rest of it, the $ has been trending over 1.30 for the last quarter so I’m keen to see what happens there.
  22. I guess that’s the point
  23. Yeh that’s it, but was sent by LCFC.
  24. Did anyone else get a long fan engagement survey drop in their inbox today? Some worthwhile ques, took about 20 mins to complete
  25. Incorrect sir
