  1. So as it stands… there’s an argument that we can’t sell him now, even if we get Sensi in, unless we have a further midfield replacement lined up (or we feel Braybrooke is suitable cover).
  2. The main point was - getting him in before Monday looks unlikely now. I imagine it also kills the idea that we instigated Casadei’s recall.
  3. He’s currently sat on Inter’s bench it seems!
  4. The Sensi deal moving might be a case of the club agreeing it’s now becomes a necessity. If the club was us pulling the strings on Casadei’s recall with a view to get Sensi in, I think we’d have left ourselves a little more time given who we play on Monday and our lack of fit midfielders.
  5. Double-fisting cold apparently 🥶
  6. Make it make Sensi!
  7. Seems pretty standard for the loaning club these days. Provides them an option to sell or re-loan the player in Jan, which has happened in a couple of other cases I believe.
  8. So we’re losing about 7 inches in midfield?
  9. Coady was quite clearly signed to be someone to set the mentality at the club - to be a leader. And at that time in the summer, that felt like the right thing to do. I also imagine we felt Faes might go, meaning a centre-half would definitely have been needed. Obviously his injury came at a cruel time - had he been able to start the first game, who knows how things would have played out until this far.
  10. Quite, it’s been very quiet, even in the Prem. Think it’s only Spurs that have made a transfer involving a fee.
  11. Well, a lot of our fans have now got what they wanted. Perhaps not in the way they asked for, but he’s now back with Chelsea.
  12. Been going next door to the Millstone for Leicester games recently - had favoured the Lord Burleigh before that, but got lazy given it’s a reasonable treck to town for me as it is. Haven’t troubled The Golden Fleece in my time here yet.
  13. I’m going to take a wild guess and suggest wrong thread as a minimum…
  14. Two games in, he’s yet to appear. Granted the number 9 in front of him in the teams a bit special… much as it has been the case here.
  15. I suspect the leeks went something like; • Inter / players agent to flush out other potential interest • Enzo in response to direct media question to put pressure on internally
  16. There is a pub in Stamford which hints at being owned / ran by a Leicester fan. I had the unfortunate pleasure of watching last weeks game alongside a day tripping Coventry fan in there 😏 For completeness, there is also a pub a short walk away owned and run by a Middlesbrough fan.
  17. Some sources suggest that’s not difficult given your lack of hair.
  18. His day has just got better 😂 Hardly a surprise though. I guess they figured why wait if he can’t do much for 4 games!
  19. They’ve absolutely bottled that - no rating lower than 2, when it is clear that there are clear candidates for a 1 or 0. Mad to think now that signing Harry Kane is a 4 - even if it’s justifiable in its context.
  20. Indeed - and our Revenue has taken two significant hits in the past couple of seasons, what with no Europe, followed by relegation. This is no doubt why despite some progress in moving some high wage players on, we’re still being ultra careful because I bet we’re still on the bubble.
  21. I’m sure we were approaching 100% of turnover from memory - about 97 / 98%.
  22. Thing is, FFP / PSR doesn’t curtail investment into making your own players.
  23. I’ll repeat what I said yesterday in that we should be really careful in pointing fingers, given we could conceivably find ourselves over a ‘financial fair play’ line at some point in the near future. This becomes even more apparent when you become aware that the Premier League is currently consulting on changes to it’s Profit & Sustainability Regulations for next season onwards. This includes changing the calculation to a ‘squad cost ratio’ in line with UEFA’s own new FFP calculations for its competitions. That makes agreement to the change in calculation pretty much guaranteed - and I’d suggest that change is not going to be beneficial for us in any shape or form, at least in the short term. https://www.linklaters.com/en/insights/blogs/sportinglinks/2022/october/uefas-new-cost-control-rule https://www.footballbenchmark.com/library/overview_of_the_new_uefa_financial_fair_play_regulations https://morgansl.com/en/latest/financial-fair-play-20
  24. Financial reporting always works a year behind - you report on the previous 12 months, not the current.
