  1. I don't think Amartey is a problem player. I actually think we have a player who has the potential of being an asset in the defensive midfield role in years to come. The problem is that he is 21 and naturally lacks the know how and experience to adapt to adversity. It is not a surprise that when things are going right he shines but when things seem to fall apart he goes into his shell. He's a kid for God sake with a handful of premier league games behind him. I i think we are letting him down at present. We've stuck him in a role and system to replace our most influential player from last year. That's not easy for any player, let alone for someone with his experience/age. To help him adapt he needs more bodies/experience next to him. A three in midfield would help this. The problem is which three. You can't lose mahrez because he is a match winner. King seems to be off form and Mendy is injured. Vardy up front by himself doesn't really work either.
  2. You know reading the comments in this thread from other fans doesn't half make me smile. A year ago a 2-1 win against us for one of the established big clubs meant absolutely nothing more to them than another victim. arsenal are so happy with the result they can't stop rubbing it in our noises. Making ridiculous accusations and hating on our players It makes me smile as we now matter to the league at the same level that this football club matters to us!! I've waited all my life for our club to be in the coldrun, hated for the fact we simply exist and these players have done that. Thank you boys. Now let's go win this thing
  3. Peter Gilbert - Im pretty sure we hashed that up and we were going for the other Plymouth left back who was pretty decent at the time
  4. Without trying to give Dyche any importance. His arguments are seriously flawed. He spent money (transfer fees and wages) on George Boyd, Marvin Sordell and lylas jutkiewics (sp?). Rather than go out and get one player who could actually improve their squad. Nige brought in squad players like Albrighton for free to free up money for Kramaric and Ulloa. It isn't a lack of money but serious flaw in his management by way of scouting. He doesn't know players beyond his own nose and has cost his team a place in this league. I hate his attitude that if it goes right he is the messiah and if it goes wrong it's his players to blame as his hands are tied.
  5. Yeah, that's what I noticed too. This is guy who was in the team until 20 mins before and could've easily have taken a back seat. Yet, he was there urging the players on - shows great team spirit.
  6. Anyone watch Suits? I absolutely love it!
  7. I'm sorry but Dyche pretending his squad were built on frees is ridiculous. Burnley, like us, have been planning this return simce there last relegation. What Dyche, there fans and some pundits fail to mention, is that their squad has been built up over a few years. Eddie Howe had a decent budget. HE not Dyche built this team up and he spend a bit too. It's not our fault that Dyche can't pick a decent player for love nor money. I'm sorry he had 3 million to spend and rather than being in his scouts and identify a quality player or two he instead splashed it all on George Boyd. That's his decision! Pearson also inherited a squad and got rid of the majority of high profile players with better options. Dyche inherited a squad from a decent manager who spent money wisely. When you look at it, Dyche has could have been even better if he didn't have the shortcomings in the transfer windows that he has. His board do not trust him as still, 2 1/2 years on the clubs assets are still players who the previous manager signed. That wouldn't fill any chairman with confidence. Pearson on the other hand has got rid of rubbish and replaced it with quality for half the price. Mills (3.5?) - Morgan (1m) Beckford (2.5/3.5) - Vardy (1m) Fernandez/danns/Johnson - all on heft salaries - drinky (500k-800k) and James (250k) Peltier - de laet Bamba - promoting Moore from the youth team. And the list goes on. Add Mahrez and knocky the better business has been done by Pearson for around the same budget. Ulloa is the ONLY. Exception. Compare that to Dyche: Their best players: Trippier Shackell Ings Mee Vokes All Eddie Howe signings. He has added Jutkewicks - ? Taylor Boyd Jones Heaton Sordell And so on The only player on their who you could say was an improvement is Heaton and that's pushing it cos Grant, as he is showing at derby is very good keeper too. So all this market leaders bullshit is not backed up with facts. Pearson just is a class above Dyche. He should calm Down a bit and try to build relationships with his superiors to try to learn and build up his lacking skills to improve as a manager. Person can pick up the phone to Fergie, robson, mourinho and co. With all honesty, can Dyche? I think not.
  8. Love it. Two united kids?? I love being the underdog. These guys haven't watched a game outside of the prem. drinkwater and James will be on top of their list for "super talents" next year.
  9. Schmeichel 2 de Laet 3 Konchesky 7 Hammond 27 Wasilewski 23 Miquel 8 James 10 King (substituted for Dyer at 68 minutes') 9 Vardy (substituted for Waghorn at 80 minutes') 24 Knockaert 15 Schlupp (substituted for Nugent at 68 minutes') The stoke fans are going to get an almighty shock when we show up at the Britiannia with Mahrez, Drinky, Moore, Vardy, Wood, Nugent (starting), Morgan and a few new additions. The fact the aforementioned names were missing from the starting eleven and all they could do to a championship "b" team is pick up a 2-1 win which they were hanging on to towards the end, does not bode well for them!
