Is Shakespeare the right man for the job?
Mickyblueeyes replied to Ian Nacho's topic in Leicester City Forum
The utter rubbish that we are playing without any apparent attempt to change it is not helping his cause. Saying that a point away to Bournemouth after putting in a performance like that, is even worse. You cannot criticise the fans who want him gone. yes he has had a hard start and the injuries certainly didn't help but there seems to be no clue how to deal with problems we are facing. Im not fully on the Shakespeare out train just yet but I can see why many are and I suspect it won't be long before more join. Especially if we continue to dish up the crap we are being served. -
As a fan base, we could do so much better. Our chants are shit and most of the time unimaginative. We lack a proper pub base. I hate the way corporations dictate our way of life. I hate being able to go to an Asda or Tesco to get all your groceries. Bring back green grocers, sweet shops and your local corner shop. I hate how discipline is now seen as a taboo and kids are encouraged to run riot. Respect is a thing of the past and increase in lending, lack of young homeowners and the shit that appears on tv is testament to this.

Is Shakespeare the right man for the job?

That is such an unfair statement. Tactical he's made changes. Granted they haven't come off but you could see the logic behind it. Against Arsenal, Chelsea and even the United game he tried something different and it just didn't come off. These sort of changes seem bizarre because they don't come off but there is sense in the them. The Arsenal game is a good example. He brought Kelechi on because Arsenal were leaving gaps in behind, had Vardy latched onto one and found Kelechi free in the centre we would all be crediting him as a master tactician. Unfortunately, it went the other way with dumb, dumber and dumberer leaving a three men free at the back post. Intelligent players allow a management to be innovative. Unfortunate for Shakey is that a lot of aces in the pack have been unavailable for one reason or another. Whether Shakey is the man to take us forward is very much still up for debate but we are far better off than this time last year. The jury is out. -
Is Slimani of premier league quality

Seeing that we are a premier league team, yes. Quite obviously, yes. Do you struggle with all simple things in life? -
Is Slimani of premier league quality
Mickyblueeyes replied to willie-bell-in-rothley's topic in Leicester City Forum
Our strikers feed off scraps because we play a very poor brand of football. If they're lucky they have one maybe two chances per game as a result. If they had a one chance one goal conversion rate, they wouldn't be playing for us. Our strikers are not the problem. -

Another view on the subs. against Arsenal we were 3-2 up and Arsenal were leaving gaps in behind chasing the game. He brought on Kelechi to get up there with Vardy to try and nick another. We did concede due to three players not doing what they are paid for and picking up men THREE men at the far post. against Chelsea we were losing the battle in the middle of the park. We were a man short. King is the only fit midfield player he could bring on. Unfortunately, Andy King seems confused as to what his role is in a three man midfield and gaps appeared between attack and midfield. For this reason, it stop any forward threat we may have had. If he had Silva or Iborra to choose from, I'm pretty sure King would not have been first off the bench. Im not saying Shakey is without criticism but it is just too early and there's just too much against him at the moment for us to make radical changes. Though the changes havent worked - they're not illogical. Especially not if you consider it with the moronic steps taken by the management a year ago. A criticism I do have of him is it seems him is that his decisions are more so reactive that pro-active. The next six games and with players returning to fitness will be more of a fairer test for him. -
Good signing.one more cb please

I remember when he came on once. We had been starved of any real quality for years. He took it to the byline and delivered a quality ball (no one was in the middle). There was actually an oooh from the crowd. I think it was the year we went down and my mate turned to me and said, how shit have we become that we are actually surprised our left winger can cross the ball. Bad times. So how much are we asking for Riyad again? Times change.

While the results play apart. I still think that the overall decision needs to be based more on than just that. What's his philosophy, style of play, coaching techniques, youth team ideas, recruitment etc. If we base it just on results, it will be amateurish. If shakey ticks those boxes for the owners, tonight must written off. It's the bigger picture we need to look at. Edit: I have no idea how I switched from the shakey thread to this. Doh!

Andy King - 10 consecutive seasons
Mickyblueeyes replied to Stevosevic's topic in Leicester City Forum
Andy King has and is a great servant to this football club. The question is, can he adapt to the style of play we try to implement and that's the question if he continues to be a major part of our team or a bit part player. I hope he does and we go forth with King in the team/squad for the long run. -
Benny's ball control, touch and passing ability suggest he could do more of a job as DM as well as CB.

This. Its like, that's it, no one else can break the barrier. If feels like all these pundits, reporters and experts have been waiting to the day the big I told you so for 18 months. We didn't get smashed to bits, we lost to a dodgy pen decision in the end! Until next time, I say.
-
He has to have a bad agent advising him. Be controversial Danny, that's how we will get the Sky gig. Surely, no one can be that stupid.
-
Sorry, which waste of human life said this?

Soccer Saturday pundits are such tits. Apparently, Karanka lost the dressing room, so should go as it's his man management style not ungrateful players. Erm....what? Similar situation a few weeks back?
-
He's always improving. He's added the sweeper keeper part to his game well in the last 18 months or so and does it as well as anybody. His criticism for his kicking maybe down to the high standards he sets himself. He he is a top class keeper and we are lucky to have him.

Poor TV pundits with sh#te opinions
Mickyblueeyes replied to willie-bell-in-rothley's topic in Leicester City Forum
These pundits going on with Claudio made them rubbish. They do realise that Claudio won absolutely nothing worth mentioning prior to coming to us. These players made Claudio as much as Claudio made them. Get it right!! It's the same reason you ridiculed him when we appointed him.- 421 replies

Interview with sports psychologist who was sacked by Ranieri
Mickyblueeyes replied to brucey's topic in Leicester City Forum
The thing is, the media, its pundits, opposition fans and even our fans who think Ranieri was gods creation on the 8th day will not see this. There were catastrophic errors made throughout this season. Some people were treated very very poorly. Fine, he is the manager but you live by your decisions, it's not fun when you believe something and it goes wrong. Why should we as a club continually suffer if the decisions made by one man are having an adverse effect on us? Yes, others have points to answer but people making out that Claudio was gods angel who had won every trophy under the sun and we should've appreciated the fact he was slumming it with us is so far from the truth it's ridiculous. In reality, most of what has come out is "normal" for his tenure. -
He seems to be the exact opposite of what made us successful last year. He needs to step up and start doing the nasty stuff. There was a point the first half where he was 1-1 with the winger and played the early ball. Just run at the man, man!
-
But but he runs around. So do I on the ****ing treadmill! Have we sold enough shirts in Japan yet? Sell him and tell him to take Top with him.

Early on in my career I worked with a nice guy, real character, very good looking, lots of attention and as smart as you could find. It came as shock when he quit the job one day after having real difficulty getting out of bed in the morning due to severe depression. It came as a shock and from a generation where depression was (wrongly) seen as something someone who had absolutely nothing going for them. It was a real eye opener. It can hit anyone and was a real education. Anyway this his friend of mine did have some difficulty over the years. He never returned back to the city nor to the job (stayed in the profession but at a far more relaxed paced). He established a support network and the most important thing he did is he spoke about it. He made what was again wrongly seen as taboo at the time an open subject. I learnt a lot about myself from his experiences and the fact he is now dealing with things so well fills me with a lot of happiness. Depression is like any illness, it's horrible and can really hurt someone who suffers from it. The best medicine is to talk. Keep it out in the open and the people who care will be there.

Can we please adopt this too?i could sing this all game long! We'll only stop if Vardy scores 20 goals from now until the end of the season. If not, we are off to Arsenal.

Amartey at CB would be worst than Huth. The only reason he struggles at DM is because he loses concentration and doesn't track. He isn't our saviour. His passing is far better than his defensive work.
