  1. I can’t remember the last time I said anything like that. Yes, I thought we were improving under Rowett and I expected that to start showing itself in results, but my confidence plummeted after Preston and had completely gone after Sheffield Wednesday. I was initially flattered that your first thought after one of the most disastrous results in our history was to spontaneously tag me in not one, but TWO separate posts, but then I saw that you’ve been doing it to other posters too, and I now I just feel used
  2. I suspect automatic promotion will be off the table for Millwall by the time we play them in our penultimate game.

  6. The “lucky vs expected” debate comes down to how people judged the two extra charges. Certain sections of the media seemed convinced they’d significantly increase the points deduction; others thought they’d have little to no impact at all. The latter group were ultimately proved correct. But, as @Terraloon points out, above, that wasn’t necessarily a foregone conclusion.
  7. If the PL’s appeal indeed came first (which I also have been told is the case), then it was a no-brainer for us to launch our own appeal. What did we have to lose? We’ll never know whether it had any influence (the appeal board may well have rejected the PL’s appeal irrespective) but it clearly didn’t do any harm.

  10. From what I can gather our appeal was an attempt to offset the PL’s appeal to increase the deduction. So I suspect the club is quietly satisfied with today’s outcome.

  12. We had 28 shots against Preston and 24 against Sheff Wed. Obviously taking a shot does not mean you’ve created a decent chance, but the stat is correct.

  14. At some point the penny will drop for the majority of the fanbase that our problems run far, far deeper than whoever happens to be our manager at any given moment. We had a very good, hands-on chairman who instilled a work ethic and a culture that was strong enough to propel us to the PL title. Then he tragically died and his responsibilities were passed onto his son, who means well but has none of his father's abilities. This transition of power has left a vacuum in the boardroom and institutional decay everywhere else—including the playing squad.
  15. 😂 I’ve got nothing left pal. Even my blue-eyed, glass half-full, sunnyside up, reality-denying optimism has finally run dry. I feel like Buzz Lightyear when he sees that TV commercial, understands that he’s just a toy and finally realises that he can’t fly, and just sits there.

  19. Stefan Borson, who was previously claiming quite confidently that we very likely breached for 24/25, is now saying we complied then too & will therefore not be facing any more charges when the appeals for 23/24 are done.
  20. Ah-you’re taking the fact that a player missed a penalty as evidence that the entire team is mentally relegated already? So presumably if the keeper had dived the other way and we’d won the game, that would have been evidence that the team was mentally still up for it? And the fact that we kept a clean sheet and dominated a game for 90mins for the first time this season means nothing—it’s all about the penalty?

  22. Did the players look like they were mentally already down when we dominated Watford for 90mins in our last match?
