  1. “Sources say…” I guarantee you that none of these sources have anything to do with the club or have any inside information on what our PSR situation is.
  2. People will laugh at you for saying this. They'll mock you and scorn you. You'll be rejected from polite society and forced to travel a lonely road. Don't let them grind you down. You might just be onto something
  3. Brighton or Brentford - I bet he's giddy with excitement The 'Foxes under pressure to sell' line seems to be just a rehash of previous stories rather than based on anything new - and even those stories seemed to be sourced from other clubs rather than anybody at Leicester. I don't know - it just feels like we're not in any rush to sell KDH or anybody else, which doesn't fit with the 'Leicester must sell before 30 June to avoid 2nd PSR charge' narrative.
  4. Do you mean the winter transfer window - ie, they needed to sell in order to buy in January? Even if that's true (and I'm not convinced that any journalists really knows what happens behind the scenes at our club), I'm not sure that it's flip-flopping. If the club's position was that if we sold a player in January for a decent fee we'd have enough money to buy another player without worrying too much about the structure of the deal, then when that sale didn't materialise the club decided it could only sign another player for peanuts in a a deal that was structured very carefully, that strikes me as pretty logical behaviour from a club trying to avoid another PSR breach.
  5. Did they flip-flop in January? Or did they have a carefully-structured deal in place which Inter then decided to try to renegotiate at the 11th hour, resulting in its collapse?
  6. To be fair, Bellingham's form for Real Madrid dropped off massively in the second half of the season.
  7. Tournaments are often won by teams who are ordinary at best during the group stage. Sometimes they are won by teams that carry on being ordinary all the way through, but are just very good at avoiding being beaten.
  8. They’re being retained but people will be given the option to opt out for a £25 charge.
  9. Yeah I know. I just really wanted the prize...
  10. 1 July. Fatawu.
  11. Last summer we recruited, Hernansen, Fatawu, Winks and Mavididi, all of whom contributed substantially to our title-winning season. Our recent record in the transfer market hasn't been terrible. Obviously I don't know how many points we'll be deducted, but my estimate of six points is based on how recent cases have gone. The occasional scare stories that we might be whacked with a massive deduction never seem to be based on anything substantial.
  12. I checked and you're right: we actually had the second-highest XG and scored the second-highest number of goals, although it is true we had the highest number of shots on target. I'm not convinced that this substantially undermines the point that @Finnegan was trying to make, though.
  13. Nothing, which is why he didn't want to go in January and probably will resist going there now.
  14. I don't think there's any guarantee that KDH will go, and even if he does the impact of his departure will depend on who replaces him. We will get a points deduction but it will likely end up around six points after an appeal - challenging, yes, but not too 'hefty'. And Steve Cooper has a recent track record of steering a club to survival in challenging circumstances. Will be a rollercoaster ride this season lads and lasses - but rollercoasters can be fun.
  15. Well they'd better get a move on as I suspect our negotiating position will harden after 1 July...
  16. Just a bit of Balkan esprit de corps. Like when the Serbia fans racially abused our players last week. A bit of high jinx.
  17. I know Top enjoys a trip to the casino, but that would be a bit of a gamble, wouldn't it? What if Man City loses its case and the PL decides to crack down even harder from now on?
  18. Five days before the end of June and it's still eerily quiet on rumours of player sales to avoid another PSR charge. Does the club believe we are compliant for 2021-24 or are we so far in breach it's not even worth bothering trying to comply?
  19. If you really want to deprive yourself the opportunity to see our players massively over-celebrate taking an early lead, probably including some meaningfully defiant gesture referring to the criticism they've received, then getting pegged back to our own 18-yard line for the rest of the game before conceding a late equaliser, I don't think you can call yourself an England fan.
  20. Sod him, then. Who the hell does he think he is?
  21. If we win the group and our round of 16 game, the QF will be against Italy or Switzerland. I’d be disappointed - though not necessarily surprised - to lose to either of those.
  22. Not one chance in a billion
  23. Great news. My depression re: England has now lifted and I'm starting to convince myself we're going to bloody well win it!!
  24. This is what I suspect. I don't know why, but I've just got this weird feeling that Cooper might become one of those managers whose arrival is greeted with scepticism but goes onto become a club legend.
  25. It's all very well quoting facts, but if you're up against somebody who's willing to make a completely baseless claim and throw in a daft phrase like 'Enzo ball', there's only going to be one winner...
