  1. Neil Harris is apparently planning to make some changes to ensure his team are more aggressive and 'Millwall-like' against us than they have been in recent games. So if you weren't already expecting them to kick us off the park, you probably should be now... https://southwarknews.co.uk/sport/football/millwall/neil-harris-leicester-changes/
  2. Yes I've learned the hard way that red button games aren't included in a day pass (which is frankly pretty scandalous given the price they charge). I'm just not sure whether Sky Action counts as a red button channel or is included in the day pass package....
  3. Do you know if Sky Action is available on the Now TV day pass? I've been burnt before by purchasing a pass only to find that the game I want to watch isn't available...
  4. I don't think a date has even been set for the commission hearing, so probably not for a while yet...
  5. I’ll be astonished if we get more than six points.
  6. Yes, we are on course to breach for this current period, too. But if we go up I suspect the club will decide that a firesale of players at bargain bucket prices will do us far more harm than any penalty we’re likely to get for an additional breach.
  7. There won’t be a firesale in June if we go up. If we stay down, it will obviously be a different story..,
  8. Points deductions are reduced for co-operating with the independent commission that reviews the case - not for cooperating with the PL. If we’re cooperative when we’re dealing with the commission, there’s no reason why we won’t get a reduction.
  9. We won’t get a transfer embargo for the 2020-23 breach if we go up.
  10. The issue of overlapping periods is an interesting one. We’re clearly heading for some kind of points deduction for the 2020-23 period. But if we’re also heading for a breach for 2021-24, how much of an additional sanction will there be given the two-year overlap? Added to which, there is no precedent for a promoted team getting a points deduction in the PL for a breach committed in the Championship (they’ve always just been fined in the past). It just makes me wonder whether, if we get promoted, the the club might decide it isn’t worth trying to comply this year because a fire sale of key players would do us more harm than any likely punishment we’re likely to get for failing to comply this season.
  11. I distinctly remember getting the tram home from after the final game against Donaster and somebody saying they’d heard that the government had announced that rationing was coming to an end. What a marvellous day that was…
  12. As do I. But those were simpler days of four-digit phone numbers, evenings crowded round the wireless and those lovely old tin advertisements for Bovril and Fry’s chocolate…
  13. The overwhelming priority right now is getting promoted. If we achieve that, our medium-term future immediately begins to look less bleak. Anything which potentially works against that goal - eg, fan protests against the owners - is a terrible idea. It would have been moronic in the extreme to protest on a day when we desperately needed everybody behind the team. Thankfully, the fans weren’t that stupid.
  14. I was bruised and battered I couldn’t tell what I felt I was furtively checking the score on my phone I saw we had 68% possession But still hadn’t scored Oh Enzo are you gonna leave me shitting myself On the streets of Philadelphia?
  15. I got 99 problems, but a Leeds director’s feelings ain’t one.
  16. I'm not sure anybody is saying they don't have a right to be pissed off. But that doesn't mean that the EFL or PL can circumvent the process and punish us early just to appease other clubs.
  17. That would make sense but the article doesn't say that - it just says they're 'pushing for sanctions', which would be redundant given that we've already been charged. You'd think the journalist would have remembered to include the key detail about them wanting an accelerated decision as the article doesn't make sense without it... Either way, it's not going to happen. There's no way that our case will be heard and the appeals process exhausted in time for the deduction to be applied this season. So it's all rather academic.
  18. But we ARE facing sanctions, aren't we? We've been charged and our case will be heard by an independent commission, after which we'll very likely get a points deduction. So what exactly are they 'pushing for'?

  20. I think we should go further and take footballer salaries back to 1950s levels. I want to see the likes of Harry Kane and Mo Salah be forced to get the bus to matches with the fans, and then be forced to run grocery shops and work as driving instructors etc once they retire.
  21. It's a good question. Hence why we will likely be punished for 2020-2023 irrespective of whether the rules are scrapped or not. But if PSR IS going to be abandoned, it will likely reduce the appetite to make an example of any club with excessively harsh penalties.
  22. If the rules are being scrapped it might affect the severity of the whack, though. I still think we'll start next season with a 4-6 point deduction. And if PSR is no longer in place by that point, we may also be in a position to invest more heavily in order to overcome that deduction.
  23. How would this work for clubs playing in Europe if UEFA has a different set of rules?
  24. Exactly. So what if the EFL doesn't like us very much? It's not exactly surprising given that we refused to submit the business plan they demanded and are now apparently in the process of suing them. We're not exactly going to be flavour of the month, are we? Even if we win the division (which is obviously a big 'if'), they probably won't send anybody to present the trophy. It will just come in a cardboard box via Hermes or Yodel. Who cares? We'll have our own party.
  25. There's no doubt that our medium-term future hinges on whether we get promoted or not. On the When You're Smiling podcast the other day, they asked Kieran Maguire what the club needs to do next given the horrific financial results it had just published. His answer was very simple: "Get promoted. Achieve that, and things immediately start to look less bleak." I don't think it's an exaggeration to say the next few weeks will be among the most important in the club's history.
