  1. Hamza may well play in defence, but Ricardo will surely keep his place alongside KDH in the other number 8 role? He's the best we have available for that position and we need our best team out. Unfortunately we lost the privilege of resting key players for QPR during that ludicrous final 10-15mins at Leeds.
  2. Really? So when you tell them what you earn they just take it as read? I wish somebody had told me before....
  3. I don’t think they just take your word for it….
  4. If we did that I think we'd be taking a very unusual step. Most clubs in that situation would not drop a player from the squad. A case in point: Ilias Chair was found guilty last week of trying to smash somebody's skull in with a rock and he was picked for QPR two days later. He'll be playing against us on Saturday, too. Some people might argue that football clubs should set a higher standard, but the fact is they don't. I can't see us deciding to take a unilateral stance on this.
  5. She's probably had some fillers injected recently.
  6. He broke the law and has been dealt with by the law. What do you expect the club to do?
  7. 40 month ban and a £20k fine: https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/news/leicester-news/lcfc-hamza-choudhury-drink-driving-9132455
  8. Barring injuries will be the starting 11 as against Leeds apart from Vestergaard, who will very likely be replaced by Nelson.
  9. Some people think the Jews secretly control the world, but it's actually the cyclists. In the merchandise area at the annual Bilderberg meeting, the biggest sellers are lycra shorts and helmet cameras.
  10. I know. I was being ironical
  11. I think there's a decent chance we won't get beaten again in the league this season. The argument that we have a weak mentality is built on pretty flimsy foundations. The four games that people tend to cite (the two against Ipswich, Coventry away and Leeds away) all had mitigating factors. Ipswich's equalisers were both lucky, particularly the first one; Fatawu's red card played a major role at Coventry; at Leeds we should have trounced them but were undone by a toxic cocktail of terrible finishing, awful officiating and three lucky goals for them. Maresca's substitutions have been poor, it's true. But we've also had more than our fair share of bad luck in those games. You always get some games like that during a season - it may be that ours just came in a cluster over two months. I think we'll kick on now and will gradually extend our lead at the top again. I expect us to be celebrating promotion with at least 3-4 games to spare.
  12. A great chance to thank Barnes for his service with a standing ovation when he comes on as sub.
  13. No. Yunus would need to start 25 games for the obligation to buy to kick in, and that's not going to happen.
  14. Oh sure. When we name our starting 11 tonight, you just know that there will be people on social media, and probably a few pundits, slagging us off for disrespecting the competition. I personally couldn't care less though: we have our own priorities and are under no obligation to please anybody else.
  15. I assume the intention is to win. We're just going to try to do that with our reserve side.
  16. Why would any Leicester supporter care about 'big teams' not taking the cup seriously in games that don't involve us? It's no concern of ours.
  17. We played severely weakened teams in the last two rounds too. The team Enzo picks tonight will be entirely consistent with that approach. He won't be doing anything differently.
  18. Judging from their forum, the majority of Bournemouth fans seem to regard Burnley as the more important game and feel their players will be knackered after the Man City game, and are therefore in favour of them rotating heavily. They don't seem that bothered about progressing in the cup. Whether Iraola feels the same way is, of course, a different matter.
  19. They're playing Burnley on Sunday.
  20. How will playing our reserve team tell us anything at all about next season?
  21. If we'd have held on to win on Friday, tomorrow's team would have been much stronger. But that last 10-15mins completely changed how we approach the rest of the season. Will Leeds and Southampton go full strength in their games?
  22. Friday's loss has reintroduced jeopardy into our season. If we hadn't collapsed at the end, we'd now be looking at the rest of the season with an air of serenity, knowing that winning six of our remaining twelve games would very likely be enough. The transfer section would start livening up again as we looked forward to next season. As it is, every game (for the time being at least) is now a cup final. The fans will be up for it - I doubt anybody will be moaning much about the atmosphere at the KP over the next few months. Surely the players will be too. Personally I'm expecting QPR to feel the backlash of our frustration about Friday - I think we'll put in a hell of a performance and beat them comfortably. And I think we'll carry on in the same vein after that until the job is done. Leeds, Ipswich and Southampton can fight among themselves for the other automatic spot.
  23. If he plays a weakened team and we lose, the squad will understand why we lost. It's hard to imagine the first team players would be too demoralised by the second string losing a cup game away at a Premier League club. All the focus would immediately switch to the weekend. We'd have lost the opportunity to progress in the cup, which would be a shame, but we'd soon get over it. However if we played a full-strength team tomorrow and a couple of our key players got serious injuries, that could potentially result in us missing out on promotion. And that could have repurcussions for many years to come. It would be disastrous. It's no contest, really.
  24. It definitely wasn’t a foul
