  1. It's mindboggling, isn't it? My Democrat-supporting friends in the US are in despair about it - they think they're about to hand Trump the keys to the White House again.
  2. I agree with your sliding doors comment, but are we really looking 'a bit wobbly'? We're second in the form table over the last 10 games, only a point behind Southampton despite their record-breaking run. If Fatawu hadn't been sent off against Coventry, we'd likely be top of that form table. Yes, tonight is a massive game, but we're hardly approaching it from a position of weakness...
  3. It reads to me that the comment about needing to offload players was referring to our general situation before Casadei left. I'm not remotely convinced that Percy has spoken to the club since Friday afternoon and been specifically told that, even after Casadei's departure, we still need to offload more players before Sensi comes in. I still expect the Sensi transfer to happen this week.
  4. Only if we agreed to sell him. You seem to ignore that part.
  5. I hope it’s tethered down.
  6. Or could the hold-up possibly be that Sensi has been with Inter in Saudi for the Italian Super Cup, which ends tomorrow?
  7. Exactly. Nobody is going to stump up what we’d ask this window.
  8. Fabrizio Romano seems to think Sensi will sign now that Casadei’s gone. We don’t need to sell anybody.
  9. Not a chance we’ll sell him this window.
  10. One more sleep before I can (hopefully) begin the long process of putting last week’s debacle behind me 🙏
  11. I’m convinced of it. The way Maresca spoke on Thursday suggested he’d be ready.
  12. In the stands and in regular communication with the bench.
  13. No they wouldn’t.
  14. Before we appointed Maresca last summer, some on here somehow convinced themselves that we were about to embark on a Red Bull-type model whereby Rudkin and the scouting team would have near-full control over transfers and the manager would just be expected to coach the squad he’s given. It was never going to happen and in the end we appointed a manager who demands a major say in transfers. If the club attempted to bypass Enzo on transfers he’d be off to another club at the first opportunity.
  15. Hermansen was also apparently Enzo’s choice.
  16. Yes.
  17. It seems highly likely to me - a lot more plausible than Chelsea spontaneously recalling him.
  18. It’s very cold this time of year
  19. I'm not convinced the UK government would want to deny an referendum on Irish reunification. Once there is a clear evidence that a majority in Northern Ireland wants to rejoin the Republic, this should be done quickly and with minimal fuss. Some in loyalist community won't like it and there will likely be a surge in civil unrest/violence, but that's just something the Irish and UK governments will have to work through. It may take several generations for things to settle down, but it will be worth it.
  20. The East Midlands becoming a world-renowned vineyard region.
  21. I admire your generosity of spirit.
  22. You’re probably right. But that doesn’t explain how Lee Mack keeps getting on the telly.
  23. Ha - right on cue… https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/enzo-maresca-wants-pep-guardiola-9042361?utm_source=linkCopy&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar
  24. Take care out there folks…
