That's a fair evaluation of events. Whether or not people agree with the outcome is up to them. The general consensus from what I've read since, and watched back, is that it isn't good enough. You can argue all day long about the ins and outs of the penalties but to actually put the initial contact on Lewis in causing a collision is ridiculous. Everything else that happened was a result of this misinterpretation of a so called legitimate pass. "Overtook"? Seriously. The FIA still doesn't learn from 2021.

You don't need to be a steward to see how the rules should be applied. However, we all know how they will be implemented and it won't be the way in which we would expect. Nothing needs to be noted, but acted on immediately. And it never is.

The fact that Middlesbrough didn't follow up on Thomas after that loan spell should have been enough to know that he isn't capable at this level either. Then he gets 4 years.
