It's good for teams that might need another route to get into a major tournament via the play-offs but teams like England don't usually have to worry about that and well we aren't even going to win that any time soon. I mean we managed to get relegated of course! And now might not even get promoted back this time.

Yes we probably used to play one game on a Wednesday and maybe another at the weekend = not spread out over a number of days. It was indeed - as were the 2 Germany games in that qualifying group. I think we notice it more now as basically even most of League one was wiped out too.

Well obviously been internationals games for decades but potentially not as many so maybe there was just a week off per period ? And the EFL teams used to play unless they had too many internationals right up till the early 00s.

South American qualifying seems really tight with only Chile and Peru probably out of it on 5/6 points. Paraguay have a 2-3 goal record so far. Four matches ended 0-0 and the remaining five 1- 0 or 0- 1. Certainly try to grind their way to the World cup!

I am not sure home fans would want to make way for a few hundred away fans in the off chance they get sold (never looks great in football seeing a half empty due to a lack of visiting support) Maybe work more for Internationals? Yes because people who have that are all liking to kill their parents and keep them dead in the house without anyone asking questions.. Supposed mental health played a part too. Important of course and those who suffer need help but cannot excuse stuff like this.

Talk of "away sections for fans " at rugby. Not sure that will go down well really as rugby is all about sitting together and mixing with the opposition fans.

Will every team get fined 750k for criticism of officials now ? Obviously not but does set some kind of benchmark now .

Maybe it was said in jest? Which I presume the England players had in the summer? The game showed why all the attacking talent we have aren't all shoehorned into the team as some want to happen and criticised Southgate for not doing... Lesson learnt for everyone... At least play with a proper striker..
