Maybe some just don't see a pathway through and don't bother either. The demand for results form clubs and fans is greater than in most places I suspect here so people will always try an experienced or tested manager even in a lower league unless they are skint like us.

Tell the clubs to appoint English/British coaches and give them a chance but obviously they cannot do that. I am not sure people would have been happy or fully satisfied had they appointed Howe or Potter in particular. Not like there is someone who has missed out and might feel unlucky.
