  1. Nightmare for West Ham! Arsenal been very good
  2. Just wasn’t his natural position - normally our 45 who came on plays there . But agree did well .
  3. Good win for Newcastle but I thought Forest could have had a penalty at the end . Another daft couple of handball calls in the Luton game . Can understand the one given against Luton more though as his arm was in the air .
  4. I think you have summed it up well . Porteous is very rash and almost tries too hard to get stuck in . Kone for 21 looks like a decent player and certainly adds a bit of skill and craft to our team .
  5. Could be quite a climax to the end of the season with Leeds and Southampton playing each other .
  6. Winks was a bit unfortunate it fell to Dennis . Bayo would have probably missed and Rajovic not even there to take advantage as he is so slow !
  7. VAR type delay in the Scotland v France game then .
  8. Not sure about that . Lack goals for one .
  9. Looks like a team going up. Not great but still looked fairly comfortable and probably could have gone up a gear or two . Still better than I thought from us. Just watch out for that dodgy passing but we all do it I guess !
  10. He’s back then ..
  11. Whoever is your left sided player will have a field day against our “right back “ I mean you probably will generally tbh !
  12. Not sure I’d rush to go there ? Important win for SW potentially
  13. Most of the reasoning for not having it seems to be what would players do in the side lines. Well how do they cope in rugby and hockey? Sure they just aren't sitting there getting cold... TBH i just think people are fed up of constant changes and having delays in the game. And how would keepers be dealt with?
  14. Blue cards maybe? Tennis balls probably.
  15. They tried that before but didn’t last long.
  16. Remember dissent can be punished already or are refs too scared about ruining games if they sent someone off and this is seen as a half way house? As for fouls well if it’s that bad and cyclical send the player off . They will soon learn as Billing of Bournemouth might have done at the weekend. If it was to be used in the PL clubs would have to vote for it .. Which I suspect they wouldn’t. Very much at a trial basis now . FIFA have said they won’t use it yet
  17. Well they messed up that by getting people think it would bring perfection and there would be no worries about subjective decisions not being consistent.
  18. They tried that for a bit but soon got scrapped . Think teams tried to take advantage of it as they will this. Probably be a few “injuries “ for example!
  19. Exactly - this is meant to be for dissent apparently but we all know no 2 refs are the same in how they punish it now so why expect them to with a blue card.
  20. All be down to the subjective whim of a ref from game to game so there probably won't be the consistency expected and as Dan says we'll have even more talking points and debate on what is a blue card or a yellow card . And teams will cry foul (sorry about the pun!( when) their player gets a blue card but someone from the opposition doesn't.
  21. As in not use for subjective decisions that no-one can agree on and differ from ref to ref game by game? With VAR people expected perfection and for every decision to be the same each week and for all the refs to be align in their thinking. Be the same here. You'd soon get people saying well that was a harsh blue card or why wasn't that player given one.
  22. Not sure they would in the heat of the moment though. If a decision goes against their team they won’t like it no matter how long it takes or if there is VAR at all. Football is too tribal for that I feel . And VAR has made it worse really as inconsistency is shown up even more .
  23. Silverstone staying on the calendar till 2034. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/68239171
  24. Not sure people would say it is which is the trouble! Soon be something else for refs to deal with and “get wrong” Cue endless debates about what is a “blue card “ and what isn’t. Particularly when it comes to fouls
  25. The 4% are probably the most important ones ..
