Outside of "because it's trendy to hate the club at the minute".... Why exactly would we celebrate 140 years? 125... yep I get it, everyone does it... 150... yep, significant number, century and a half... why 140? Do we know of other clubs that have made a big effort to celebrate what is essentially just a number between 100 and 150?

There's a stubbornness in there for me that has always been an underlining niggle I have with him. Livaramento and Hall are great examples. Excellent talents that he has had at his disposal but instead he has chosen to run players into the ground and get them injured. When they went through their big injury crisis mid season he had hall just sitting on the bench as he made the same 11 players play 3 or 4 games in a row with no subs! He's also persisted with Burn for far too long (had a decent game tonight to be fair) Shows how good a player Nick Pope is too, made Howe look like he'd learned how to set up a defence last season!

If Newcastle finish below chaotic Chelsea and Man Utd I don’t think Howe could have any complaints at being given the heave ho!
