  1. Can we just rename this the 'Some people happy some people sad ' thread, pin the latest (useful) updates to the first page and let people check in once a month without having to read the inevitable gloats/moans
  2. I definitely saw JJ using his left peg a few times against Liverpool, showing the manager he has the ability perhaps? Also Souttar pinged a couple of crossfields as part of his 'I can be Yanik' audition, which was nice to see. I think essentially that's the element we lose with Doyle but I do feel we have others who can fill in.
  3. I love it when we play Fulham at U21 level because it reminds me of last seasons 7-0 defeat.... including a Vestergaard disaster class and Kasey Mac playing left back (where Petty thinks he belongs...)
  4. Goalkeeper one is interesting. Pears has been poor and they miss Kaminsky who went to Luton. The goalkeeper they signed in the summer Wahlstedt is really good though, linked to a lot of prem clubs before he joined Blackburn. He's put in two good cup appearances so i wonder whether we might see him at the weekend.
  5. It's cold, misserable, end of September and the outfield is probably a right state... oh and there's nothing to play for. I'm amazed we've made 100
  6. Yeah they were nice!
  7. Make a mint in franchise cricket coaching I imagine? Sorry to piss on that bonfire
  8. You'd imagine 'mansplaining' supply and demand to a city that's been making and exporting steel for years isn't the best idea
  9. Tell you what could the timing of that statement be any worse? Home game on sky tonight against a Sunderland side that will bring thousands of noisy fans. Could get VERY nasty there later.
  10. Even more ironic that Milan sold Shef Weds too
  11. I guess when you've been somewhere 9 years... you can go from a hero to a sociopath quite easily. Maybe it should be a regular check?
  12. This might be the worst paragraph i've ever read from a club owner The club has found ways to improve and make things better and develop as much as we can, in all areas. However, it is not possible for the club to do things alone. For example, some fans have said the ticket price is too high. I have explained this many times in forums. For example, the prices can be lower if we have enough guaranteed volume and that is a win-win situation, for the club and the fans. It is the same for the price of the shirts, exactly the same principle. The price can be lower if the sale volume is higher. We must look for solutions – it is no use thinking of just one side, we must think of and help each other. I lose a lot of money each year and we must try and balance as much as we can.
  13. Was all a bit odd wasn't it. - Super friendly coppers - Super friendly and welcoming stewards - Catering staff wearing Leicester tops with 'when you're smiling' on. - Their young fan getting kicked out for giving the W*nker sign in response to being called a fat bastard
  14. I just don't buy it, especially given we failed to find Kasey ANY loan for the first half of last season. Took Enzo five minutes to realise we had a player there! We've had good relationships with the likes of WBA (desperate for players last season), Huddersfield and Luton in the past. Maybe Luton aside there's no way to other two didn't have a need for him last season. At the very least league 1, I stand by the fact if you have any feeling that you might have a good player on your hands they should never go out on loan more than two levels below your current level. You only have to look at the fact he played left back at U21 level (and also in an FA Cup game for the useless midget) to know we didn't have a clue.
  15. There was one point (because the crowd was silent) that you could literally hear Enzo shout 'Kick it long' and got very angry when Stol didn't..... he is flexible but the players need to know when to bail out too. It's on them when they're on the pitch.
  16. We had two starters last night who played in League 2 last season. For me it shows how impressive their performances were last night (still happy with Stol despite a few errors) But most of all it shows utter mismanagement from the club. We did it so often last season and whilst we were in the Prem, why as a Premier League club did we send 20 year olds out to League 2? Both were more than good enough for lower championship sides but we just couldn't be arsed at shipped them to whoever asked nicest. And those two clubs happened to be strugglers with poor managers.... good work guys...
  17. I know he’s played a lot of positions already, but with finishing like that, and the fact he’s good with his head and quick. It’s not behind the realms he ends up a decent striker one day
  18. Blimey, was it you who wrote 4 years on the contract as well?
  19. Hope Lee Tomlin isn't giving diet and lifestyle advice...
  20. This was Liverpool's Europa League starting XI last week, i'm expecting pretty much the same to be honest. Worth noting they were pretty terrible until they made changes. Kelleher Bajcetic Konate VVD Tsimikas Elliot Gravenberch Endo Doak Nunez Diaz Diaz and Nunez also played at the weekend, so those two may well swap out for Jota and Gakpo. Similarly VVD has played back to back so it may be Matip in for him. There's also a young lad called Jarell Quansah who has been getting minutes here and there this season.
  21. Intrigued by tonight. I've seen some subtle tweaks from Enzo when we've been put under pressure but nothing massively significant in terms of a system change. Towards the end against Cardiff when they were battering us and it looked like we were going to have to cling on for a draw, he told Ricardo to sit as a regular right back to give us a more rigid back four, mainly to help Faes who was blowing out of his arse at that point. Part of me actually wants to see us being confident in our plan against any side, no matter the level, BUT with the idea that we might well be a flat 4 quite a lot this evening. The big difference we will notice this year from Liverpool is they have the midfield they've been craving now, even the back up version (Endo, Gravenberch and Elliot) is strong and will likely see a lot less opportunities to exploit the middle of the pitch as we have done in the league this season.
  22. Can't wait for Castore to go pop. I've got a bit carried away looking into them over the last few months, dodgy accounts, company structure, loads of celeb/big name investors holding small stakes, offshore accounts all over the gaf, no actual clue who really owns them or who pulls the strings. If it's not some big tax avoidance scheme i'll be amazed. The brothers who founded it are ex city bankers as well. You can guarantee the sports teams they have contracts with are in on it too.
  23. Hey, if it's absolutely horrific there's two guaranteed plus points... - Every row will be able to see the game at Anfield for a change - Standing rails!
