It's on the 'to do' list.

Your future with Dyche assuming he can get us promoted is lower league stagnation or more relegation. I'd sooner take a risk and see some exciting attacking football occasionally hitting the high spots even if it means we continue to yoyo, that is more in the Leicester style. I'm not a fan of the 'Coventry' ( 25 years or so fighting against relegation) style stagnation in the lower half of the league.

Carabao Cup brings in preliminary round for 2025-26 Image caption, Four EFL sides will compete in the newly introduced preliminary round of the Carabao Cup in August Kate Holloway BBC Sport England The 2025-26 Carabao Cup will include a preliminary round to accommodate the increased number of Premier League clubs with European commitments. Nine top-flight sides are set to participate in European competitions next season, prompting the change to help reduce the number of clubs in the first two rounds. The preliminary round will feature the two sides promoted from the National League and the two clubs who finished 21st and 22nd in League Two. They will be separated regionally, as is customary with the competition's early rounds, meaning Accrington Stanley will face Oldham Athletic while Barnet take on Newport County. The home sides for those ties will be drawn at the same time as the draw for round one, on 26 June at 16:30 BST. All EFL clubs - other than the two eliminated in the preliminary round - will participate in round one of the competition. The 11 Premier League sides not in Europe enter at the second-round stage while the nine sides to have qualified for Europe - Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace - come in at round three. Palace are waiting for their participation in the Europa League to be rubber-stamped by Uefa, as John Textor's Eagle Football group has a minority shareholding in Palace and a majority stake in French side Lyon, who have also qualified for next season's European competition. Carabao Cup 2025-26 fixture dates Preliminary round: week commencing 4 August 2025 Round one: week commencing 11 August 2025 Round two: week commencing 25 August 2025 Round three: split between week commencing 15 September and 22 September 2025 to accommodate clubs participating in Champions League and Europa League Round four: week commencing 27 October 2025 Round five: week commencing 15 December 2025 Semi-final first leg: week commencing 12 January 2026 Semi-final second leg: week commencing 2 February 2026 Final: Sunday, 22 March 2026

Same with roads and even repairs and improvements. This is why they should have gone for quick wins/returns like the Ivanhoe
-
Maybe the door coming off is part of the reason for the crash or simply came off at partial impact allowing him to jump out.

Far Out Magazine · Follow Honouring the life and legacy of the incredible Brian Wilson. “If there is one person that I have to select as a living genius of pop music,” The Beatles’ producer George Martin once proclaimed. “I would choose Brian Wilson. Without Pet Sounds, Sgt. Pepper wouldn’t have happened. Pepper was an attempt to equal Pet Sounds.” Given who he worked with, that is high praise indeed for the late Beach Boys’ mastermind, but it is easy to see why he revered Wilson so much. Even Paul McCartney added: “I figure no one is educated musically ’til they’ve heard Pet Sounds.” -
Tier 4 update https://sportwitness.co.uk/crystal-palace-leicester-city-and-southampton-make-approaches-for-striker-agent-communicates-valuation/ Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Southampton make approaches for striker- Agent communicates valuation By Kaustubh Pandey - 12th June 2025 SHARE Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Southampton could all need a striker in the summer transfer window and are looking at the same player to bolster their attack. The player in question is Panathinaikos’ Fotis Ioannidis, who is attracting attention from a host of clubs in Europe. Corriere dello Sport report on the Greek striker and claim that all of Crystal Palace, Southampton and Leicester City have made initial approaches for the 25-year-old. Fiorentina are also interested and have tried to sign him multiple times in the past. The forward has always been intrigued by the idea of playing in Serie A, with Bologna and Lazio also having made contact for him previously. Crystal Palace, Southampton and Leicester City will provide stiff competition, with Ioannidis’ agent having made it clear that a fee of €20m would be needed to sign the Greece international. Fiorentina have not gone beyond €12m in their valuation and this can prove to be an advantage for the three English clubs. Ioannidis has now played 185 times for Panathinaikos and has scored 51 times during his five-year-long stint. That makes it clear why multiple clubs are keeping a close eye on him. @20mill too expensive for us maybe?

Was he cremated? (hopefully he'd not ne offended by that)

Struggling budget chain Poundland has been sold for £1 and now faces a shake-up which could see some stores close. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c36594lr29ko Its owner Polish firm Pepco confirmed it had sold the brand for a "nominal" sum to US investment firm Gordon Brothers.

I love it when we have fans of other clubs on here as long as they are discernible, objective and sensible. It's great to have their views of us, other clubs, managers and players helps us to stop belly gazing.

This is FIFA being envious of all the money EUFA rake in for their EURO comps and wanting a slice of the pie.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdxv52rzkygo Kris Holland BBC News, Northamptonshire Published 2 hours ago Andy Roberts from the Northampton Town supporters group said "many fans up and down the country continue to be disenfranchised and marginalised" A football supporters' trust leading a drive for fans to "play a meaningful part in decision making at their clubs" has been backed by a national campaign group. Fair Game has joined a coalition of 22 fan groups, led by Northampton Town Supporters Trust who are calling on the government to ensure "the unique status of trusts to be recognised and enshrined in law" as part of its Trusts First campaign. Niall Couper, chief executive of Fair Game, said the campaign was "about giving those communities a real voice in the game they love" The Department of Culture, Media and Sport has been approached for comment. The coalition of clubs, from all levels of the English game, intends to lobby government to "guarantee primacy for Trusts and other democratically-constituted supporter groups" in the forthcoming Football Governance Bill. The legislation, which is passing through Parliament after being reintroduced by the Labour government in October, will hand power to a body independent from government and football authorities to oversee clubs in England's top five divisions. The Trusts First group includes supporters' trusts from Barnsley, Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers, Bradford City, Doncaster Rovers, Exeter City, Fulham, Leicester City, Leyton Orient, Manchester United, Morecambe, Northampton Town, Plymouth Argyle, Reading, Scunthorpe United, Southend United, Swansea City, Swindon Town, Torquay United and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Andy Roberts, the chair of the Northampton Town Supporters' Trust, said: "The trust movement was founded in 1992, the year the Premier League was introduced, yet many fans up and down the country continue to be disenfranchised and marginalised by club owners pursuing their own vested interests. "We now have a clear opportunity to get all mandated supporter groups front and centre of fan engagement, not just those who are cherry picked by clubs to sit on their panels and boards. "We feel this should form part of the legislation and not be left to the discretion of the Independent Football Regulator." Fair Game said a meeting will be held with democratically-elected supporter groups next week to hear their concerns for the future of football first hand.

They put a lot more effort into the Community than their relationship with the fans.

That A45 had 3 months MOT so when I took it back to the dealer he failed it for not having seatbelts. I asked how long had they been required and he said nearly a year. So I said you sold me an illegal unroadworthy car so you should pay for it. We had a big argument as he refused. I spent 4 hours in his office refusing to leave and threatening him I’d call the police. The mrs was so embarrassed she went home. He paid up eventually just to get rid of me. 😂👍

No. An Austin A45 van, Vauxhall Viva the gear stick came off in my hand as I was driving home from buying it. I had some awful cars. You’d be lucky to get more than 3 months MOT and Warranty.

My elder brother living London had a real rust bucket. There was no floor left where the drivers feet rested and he just had thick pieces of cardboard there. The accelerator linkage was broken so he had a bit of string going through the dashboard tied to the throttle and used to just pull on it to accelerate and let go to slow down. Bloody scary.

Rust bucket cars. Fortunately they were built on chassis so were relatively safe from collapsing but there were plenty around with see through wings and sills. Newspaper and Isopon filler was what held mine together.
