  1. The stadium was built while we were in the premier league and was affordable, it would have remained serviceable on relegation had sky not engaged in underhand business practices to take down ITVDigital at the cost of all football league clubs. We were not able to sign any players that summer besides free transfers for summerbee and McKinley and everyone was up for sale, and went into administration after Eric Hall, wises scumbag lawyer, pushed a winding up petition against us after concluding his case. If you're saying we shouldn't have gone into administration the way we did, you're arguing either we should have sold the newly completed stadium and played on Viccy Park or that we should have accepted the winding up petition and gone out of business. Neither of which are particularly reasonable? We didn't gleefully rack up debts we couldn't afford, we were hit by a perfect storm of relegation, a financial crisis for the entire football league pyramid and a scumbag lawyer and player, and despite that we finished 12 points clear of 3rd, so even if a points deduction was in place we'd still have been promoted.
  2. Eh, Hamas does use it that way but Hamas are barely representative of Gaza (won 44.5% of the vote 17 years ago in a country where 70% of the population are under 30), let alone all Palestinian Territories. Often it's used to call for Palestinians to have equal rights "from the River to the sea", i.e. to end the atrocities being committed in Gaza and the west bank and for equal treatment within Israeli territory. There's a huge push now for it to be seen primarily as wanting extermination of Israel because propaganda wars. Given Hamza has previously expressed support for Palestinian liberation (FA cup final) I'd doubt he's doing it to inflame any antisemitism
  3. Just to establish then that the route that kept us from going under was "the easy way out" and leaves a black mark against us, so presumably you think we should have folded in 2003?
  4. I thought it was well known Enzo turned down leaving Man City midseason because he wanted to complete the treble win first? That's why Southampton didn't get him when they canned Jones
  5. Genuinely wouldn't be surprised if we could tick Sheff Weds off in early Feb. Boxing day marks the 24th GW so it's mathematically impossible on all circumstances before then, we'd obviously need 4 more points on top of winning all between now and then and Sheff Weds losing all, so that would put Huddersfield at home on January as an earliest possible point. Assuming we drop some points, they pick some up, plus we make A Cup round 4 (meaning home to Swansea is rearranged) we might hit that point at home to them on shrove Tuesday on GW32
  6. The tears will be enough to flood Yorkshire again, doing thousands of pounds of improvement to it
  7. Scoring howitzers?
  8. what a worldy!
  9. ****ing Hirst, Ipswich ahead.
  10. Cardiff at home although that sending off was in stoppage time
  11. been very critical of the referees this season but he does get that absolutely spot on, really well handled.
  12. Stupid from Dozzell, need to go heavily on the attack now.
  13. hopefully that's a wakeup call, playing like we think this game was won from kickoff
  14. Great goal Stephy. Let the flood gates open
  15. commentary like 10 seconds behind the video, it's improving.
  16. yep. Commentary standards on a par with the rest of the foxeshub stuff
  17. awful header.
  18. We were dogshit but I'm not sure how that justifies Everton cheating while we couldn't recruit playing within the rules
  19. ~28k was the official attendance
  20. You'd think that having seen the Vestergaard and Ndidi redemption arcs that people might be more willing to consider that sometimes a player is just physically and mentally broken by a manager and a change of scenery/manager is enough to revitalise them but apparently not. Once shit, always shit. Before people make ridiculous posts - Obviously not saying he should come back, once praet, Yunus and McAteer are fit we're over stacked in the number 8 position, just that maybe he failed here because of the wider issues with the club and the demented goblin running it rather than because of his ability
  21. I mean we all know Ethan Ampadu is the greatest midfielder to ever walk the earth so you'd expect Farke to be sacked soon for such underperformance
  22. 3rd place Leeds are now closer to the relegation zone (13 points ahead of Rotherham in 22nd) than they are to us (14 points ahead)
  23. tbf Ref had to work out what that sound was, he's never heard anyone applaud him before.
  24. We really did break Norwich huh? 2.28 ppg going into the game against us, 0.67 ppg since that game
