if you don't think that goal kick routine is a tactic we deploy regularly, I'd suggest watching us play
-
because it's something we see again and again and again regardless of personnel and opposition, and have seen repeatedly as a goal kick routine, Vestegaard lays it short to the keeper who plays it into the defensive midfield who turns it round the corner to release us behind their press. That goal is exactly the same as we conceded at Blackburn under Enzo with Mads playing it to Winks. That goal kick routine is tactical and will lead to occasions like that.
-
the crap decision was following the tactics though is the point. The tactics are that he plays that pass for Skipp to then play it round the corner.
-
if you're going to insist on this goal kick tactic where the CB plays it short to the keeper, you have to accept that these kinds of goals are going to happen, just as they did under Enzo with Mads in goal. If you don't want that to happen ever, look at the tactics not the individuals, because it will happen sporadically regardless of the individuals
-
it was, he should have made the decision to disregard this stupid goal kick tactic that we've resorted to, but anyone saying he's shit as a result simply does not understand or appreciate football properly
-
he's really not. He's one of the best in the division, as in has one of the highest post shot xg +/- values (i.e. has prevented more goals than most in the division)
-
and yet we keep doing it. Did it under Enzo too and I can think of 3 goals off the top of my head that were conceded as a result (Blackburn away, Watford away, Birmingham at home). It's a goal kick style that you see frequently with possession oriented teams with the idea of drawing them in and a pass round the corner releasing the attack, but we don't have the player to do it. It's a bad error but it's an error because he's playing to the tactics.
-
he's really not though. That's on the tactical decision to play like this from goal kicks, invites pressure. It's a bad mistake but it's one that comes from the managers tactics being unsuitable
-
why do managers keep insisting on this type of goal kick? we did the same several times under Enzo as well
-
first shot of the second half, and it's an attempt that belongs down the tigers... abysmal. What coaching is he actually doing? not one player looks better under him and he can't motivate them for shit

Bristol Away Match Thread Dec 10th 7:45pm

Just sack this loser and put us out of our misery. -
His game management really is pathetic. Clung on Saturday from half-time, clinging on today. Don't think we've put in a single performance where we've not been rancid in at least one half
-
didnt bouba literally go missing for 3 months during his first season?
-
First half good, he got the set up right and had the better of Eustace but I've still got concerns about his game management and use of the bench, plus we've still not put in a full match performance yet, and we're nearly half way through the season
-
advantage surely, ball rolls straight to Mavididi
-
completely lost it. Cannot manage a 90 minute performance under Cifuentes
-
**** it, turn Thomas into a winger.
-
Not sure that is off
-
how shit must you be to let Skipp score?
-
Cifuentes asked about Winks and just said "technical decision". That has to be Winks done then, that short and sharp a response is obviously "he's in the doghouse".

She's more akin to ann2 in the face of kinder.

What Game Are You Playing At The Moment ?

played it and there isn't, but there's quite a few references to some of his old music in there. Did it silent assassin, suit only, machine gun only in the end -

I'd jump off the door too if that was the alternative -
playing like a temu Gareth Williams, **** off back to Hertfordshire Harry

if he were a tough enough bastard to do what needs be done (put faes and winks on gardening leave, tell them they're not playing or training until they find a new club - if they want to run their contracts down their careers are over) I'd say stick, let him be the fall guy to clear the decks for a manager with tactical competence, but he's not even that. Sack this Las Rambla Rodgers
