  1. he was getting muscle injuries last season I don't think he can race up and down the wing anymore but yes he could and should have been used off the bench
  2. he still got hamstring injuries last season in a much less physically demanding role than the one we are asking of JJ of late, if we had the Ricardo pre injury there is no doubt in my mind he'd be in the team but sadly I think age and injuries have changed how he has to play, I'd be looking at him as an option at 6 more than FB so long as we are asking the RB to be more of a wing back. He should have been used more off the bench though to close out games even to defend on the right wing in front of JJ.
  3. also do people not remember Justin playing on the left all last season and completely refusing to use his left foot making us lopsided? we have so much more balance to us with a left footer there and he is building a good understanding with Stephy. I'd like him to be more aggressive with his passing but that was the same with a lot of the squad and even the same last season, its a modern football thing, players get hammered for their passing stats so get drilled into them about the percentages and end up turning down the attacking pass.
  4. she posted a pic of him on her Insta stories a few weeks back when they were out walking, that's all she posted that I saw
  5. it wasn't just about that it was also the cost of getting Potter's staff out of Chelsea and possibly his wages that affected that and the cost of getting Corboran and his staff out of WBA as we needed to make sure we didn't breach FFP for last season
  6. Such as who? If Cooper left right now who is better that is available? We tried to get Potter and could get it done. Moyse? I'd bet he'd keep us up but those moaning about Cooper's tactics would hate Moyes. I'm genuinely asking, I have no attachment to Cooper if we could get a better manager I'd do it tomorrow I'm just not convinced we can
  7. he has similar level shot stopping abilities with much better distribution, he will never achieve what Kasper did here but that's a different issue
  8. The drop off from the first 2 games is stark, their level is higher than this it's very disappointing
  9. I think Thibaut needs dropping, Tierney unusually poor, I like Missy Goodwin but she struggles for impact when starting games. Cayman is quality but not sure she can show it at left back
  10. Oh look a Palace player fell over and the whistle blew, again...
  11. Has Deanne Rose done something to them? They seem to be booting the ball at her rather than passing
  12. We've played like we thought all we had to do was show up today deserve to be 2 down
  13. Palace have a penalty
  14. Hannah Cain posted about graduating rehab so she might be back soon, if she can be the player she was pre injury that will be a boost
  15. I think it's more simple then that, given his age and injury history I don't think Cooper thinks Ricardo can get up and down like Justin is being asked to
  16. Too many players having an off day taking 1 touch too many and losing the ball also sorting off too much. When we do play with some speed of passing we create
  17. Shocking pass from Thibaut no where near any city players she's been awful today
  18. If Rantala goes down there I think that's a pen
  19. This has been a tough watch they haven't woken up yet
  20. congratulations on completely proving the point made in the post you quoted
  21. yes he does, but you've clearly decided Ayew can't have a good game for us, probably just as another stick to beat the manager with, its pathetic. Still I guess there has to be at least 1 player getting undue stick at all times on here
  22. yea not sure we needed another DM option there with Riccy and Winks who can both play there but maybe there's an injury with Kasey, think if El Khannouss was more up to speed he would have come on but he's looked quite lightweight so far but its very early days for him
  23. was crying out for McAteer on the bench instead of Soumare today
  24. there's an Okazaki vibe to having him behind Vardy letting Bounonotte play the Mahrez role wider, full of graft presses well, holds the ball up well and buys free kicks
  25. I doubt he's on a mega contract when one of the reasons we ended up with Edouard instead of one of the other striker targets was the wage demands
