You’re not entirely alone, I think we’ve looked good. Still a work in progress but you can see a week’s worth of training’s affect.

What utter rubbish
-
He’s not impressed so far has he. Shame, I had really high hopes for him
-
One thing we did learn last night. We really struggle without the energy and forward drive of KDH!
-
I just don’t think we are currently playing plan A. I’m convinced that the fast paced slicing teams open of the first 12 games is plan A. We have somehow moved away from this…. Hopefully not deliberately!!!
-
I’d agree with that. I’m not aware of the 2 transfer windows being cancelled though, so I’d expect us to look a little different in personnel at least
-
FFS. We deserved that

Crikey this is really sloppy. Vestergaard MON by a country mile

It’s impossible to be top of the league by such a margin and play badly 90% of the time… which is the point I was referring to. The stat that says we’re poor 90% of the time, in your words, “my eyes”. I think this image remains a good test of your eyes

Which stat suggests we’ve played poorly for 90% of the season???
-
Matt Elliot is a really poor pundit
-
It obviously isn’t

Us playing the worst that we’ve played all season. No. Who would possibly enjoy this. It’s awful. But if your point is that this is a standard display from us then you simply don’t understand football

The ref going over to the monitor is just a crazy ritual that serves no purpose. It was bought in to try and solve a problem, it didn’t, but they persist with it. It’s a pantomime. It’s just like the rather antiquated idea that the victim of a foul should receive treatment on the pitch, then run off it, and ask for permission to come back on. Ridiculous. They’ve become steps in a dance that we just accept. Mad!

Oh I agree entirely that the game is better without it and that if it has to be used it’s for automated black and white decisions…. But that’s simply never going to happen, they’re not going to admit a mistake and back pedal like that. I’m keen on the review system because it’s the best way, and proven in a different sport, to deal with FIFA’s appetite for more technology and the fans desire for it not to ruin the game

The timed window for the use of an appeal, and limited number of unsuccessful appeals would make VAR more a part of the team game though. With cricket there are fielders particularly good at viewing marginal decisions who are consulted by the captain, an umpire’s potential mistake relies on the skill of the team to spot. Currently VAR is just incompetent and disconnected from the game. Appeals, whilst at risk of being just another way to favour the big 6, may help to re-connect the game to the teams and fans?

I understood the implication… It’s wrong on so many levels though. Last year we had a manager that picked the same 11 players relentlessly, made very few substitutions and ran the same players into the ground. His style seemed to be 80% pace all the time because those players were knackered. This season the “tippy tappy” football or probing for openings at a slow pace is then exploited with explosive pace (yes this is where we could improve but it’s the hardest aspect to nail). It’s not slow or possession based football, it’s reposition the ball and players until a good chance opens up to exploit. Outside of possession we have much better organised triggers to win back too, under Brendan it just seemed to be 1/2 the team run yourself ragged and hope to win it back. Hence the injuries.

I thought they looked bang average!

The cricket system works amazingly well, it seems that FIFA just wanted to be different to satisfy their superiority complex
-
Enzo has only been here this season.
-
I personally think it was going in and the stats people just missed it. I could be wrong but was watching on TV and had several replays
-
If you misunderstand football so totally that this is your opinion, why waste money watching LCFC… just got to your local park and watch a game there?

He was about 4 yards from the goal line. It was a decent save from Mads, it could certainly have caught him out. it wasn’t a great chance though, just a miss hit cross that may have caught the keeper off guard

It’s 5 weeks plus bank holidays. 5x5=25 8 bank holidays
