PSG deserve it - better side over all three ties. Excellent side who've become genuinely quite likeable. Amazingly this is the first ever meeting between PSG and Inter. I have no strong feeling for who I want to win. Actually edging towards PSG I think. They've been great fun.

Quite an interesting read - for everything wrong with us I don't think your decline ever gets enough attention either and there's never really anything made of it. All feels quite timid and similar to us in that the fans for the most part are just beaten down by it all and almost apathetic to it. But it's sad. You're likely to finish on 35 points in the last two PL seasons combined - a complete disgrace frankly. I do get fed up of it being treated like it's some big inevitability. I can't believe Leicester (or Southampton) can't compete in an era where Brentford and Bournemouth are pushing for Europe and Nottingham Forest are still odds on to make the Champions League.

Alves doesn't need to come into our team and carry us next season. If he's our 17th best player in the squad that's perfectly OK. It's a good way to pad your squad out without having to blow loads on fees and wages - something we've often been guilty of. Been many instances where we've blown good money on squad fillers when we could've just had a youth player perform exactly the same role.

They'll be nervous and they'll be vulnerable, but we're just awful, abject, and sadly they'll win. But like I say that alone may not be enough. Palace away is a pretty rotten fixture for them too.

This club puts Rudkin above literally everybody. That's what's so galling about it. The top dog at the club is a fraud director of football. It's no wonder we're spiralling.

Fear that Lazio was Bodo's big scalp and that they'll just lose comfortably tonight. Would love to be wrong, would be utterly hilarious if Spurs crashed out but got this horrid vision they just win 4-0. Bodo missing loads of players as well. Think Bilbao can win the trophy though.

We literally just had the game happen without the super league. You can have too much of a good thing - that game was special because it doesn't happen often. That being said I do genuinely believe that football is going through managed decline so that people accept the super league by stealth.

Like anyone with any ability - get out of this place until it starts operating like a football club again.

Most of my usual matchday routine but just without the actual game itself. Even if I was able to I do think at this point of this season this is probably what I would be doing, with the exception of the Forest game.

That's the same as my recollection of things. In many ways the start of our downfall. It was some time around that 2021 period where we became consistently easy to play through the middle of and I don't think we've really recovered that at any point since. We've signed nobody in Ndidi's mould since this time. I thought early season Ndidi had probably been our best player, but he's dipped again and it's time to go.

Still think his decline is one of our main reasons for our initial fall off. He was the glue under Rodgers in the better years. Fell off some time around 2021/22.

Entirely predictable outcome. Obviously even when we spend peanuts we manage to con ourselves. Said at the time of signing him he profiles even worse than Justin in a slightly weaker league. Would give him a chance in the Championship but don't think he's automatically just going to be good enough. Wonder how much link to Maresca this signing had, given he played under him at Parma.
