Yeah sadly, reeks of Spurs or Villa. I don't expect us to spend as much as he'd cost in total let alone on one player. Wish we'd bought him a year ago when linked.
-
Generally of the consensus he is limited and not a PL player potentially. He's a success story for the manager though. I didn't really give him much of a shot of making it here and he's made a bigger impact than expected. The whole thing is a sign of good coaching.

Probably a total pipedream at this point but bring me Nicolas Gonzalez.

Levels! I need to look and see what it is with Cannon in the side. I'd guess it's higher than Iheanacho and Vardy's but not really close to Daka's. If I can be arsed I'll work out the average position of the opposition we've faced - I do feel without looking that it's quite a generous run of fixtures he's had, but even so we've been quite stodgy against some of these teams this season. Only 1 scored at Huddersfield, 2 at Rotherham, 2 at QPR, 1 at Wednesday - all before Daka had played a minute. Now we seem to hit 3 more often than we don't. He has his flaws, absolutely no doubt but he seems to get held to a ridiculous standard compared to some.

This needs some proper thought. I always thought Newcastle were #1 but obviously The Ev have emerged as the kings. Newcastle and Sunderland are probably in there. It's possibly Wolves to fill the remaining spot.

Biggest fall of of anywhere. They've gone from the best in the country to arguably the worst. Only credit I'll give them is they're still quite moody. I can still see it occasionally being decent there if you get me. Definitely in the top 5 booiest fanbases in the country.

I do think some of our games, particularly home ones are quite boring but I think it's simply a symptom of being so heavily favoured. It's like playing a Carabao Cup 3rd round game half of the time. There has been the odd game though like the weekend where I think this style can actually be genuinely entertaining when there is space for us to attack. I think providing we don't become obsessed with playing safe and do look to hit these spaces we will be able to hurt teams in the top flight - and I'd say the games on average would be more entertaining.

You are right of course but do agree with what Teapot said on the last page, how broken is football that one of the immediate thoughts has to be that. Don't disagree with you at all and it will obviously be a big consideration. That being said I'd doubt we got anything like peak value this early on as he hasn't played enough. What I'm saying really is I wonder if he could take Vestergaard's place in a PL side - it'd be a huge gamble and probably too big of one but if we pulled it off it would be a great move for us.

Never known mental gymnastics like it.

Need to see this push again. Really pissed their fans off and only got a yellow. Fantastic sign of his development and the attitude I want to see.
-
I want him to get more game time so we can assess how good he really is and how realistic it is that he steps up to the PL next season. We've got a few conundrums at CB - this could save us tens of millions if we're convinced he's good enough.
-
He wasn't 'that' bad in the PL. Wasn't great but we've had worse for us in that league. Plus he'd only played under a manager who'd given up anyway for pretty much the entire time he'd been here. Given we're clearly not going to spend heavily I'd go with him as an option.
-
He gets very harsh criticism. 6 goals and 3 assists in 6.6 nineties. In-fact in the 6.6 nineties he has played, we have scored 23 goals (3.48 per game on average!!). Mavididi has scored 7 goals since the Plymouth game which Daka first came in for. He's technically lacking at times but he's better than this division by a mile. We have improved from an attacking point of view since him and Cannon have been our strikers - and fair play to the manager for actually sticking with them both when he could've easily not.
-
Yeah Saints moves if either of us make the quarters but I think with that draw, neither of us are likely to go through. We should get a date for that game in the next fortnight although no doubt they'll probably delay it because of things they already know are coming anyway like usual. I would guess the Southampton game will be Friday night.

One of the best ends all season but no surprise. There are some grounds we consistently deliver. Stoke, West Brom and Huddersfield three of the top ones - won at all three this season and all were a lot of fun. I feel like it was the ideal fixture in a way. Stoke are a bad side who played right into our hands so a heavy away win was always likelier here than in most games. I think there's been a lot of shit going on lately, including from the fans and the whole thing felt like a bit of a **** you to some of the stuff that's done the rounds lately, the Swansea video etc... I enjoyed it. Great performance and the end lived up to it as well.
-
What a brilliant win and what a time for it too. Enzo will know he has a fair backing from the fans after that. It was kind of the perfect fixture we could've had.
-
I genuinely don't think a lot of them could point him out in a photo.
-
It's just too many things for me. Too many errors at too many levels. This ownership should be toast.
-
What implications am I meant to be taking from this; When the accusations are of us being badly run? What exactly am I meant to be spinning?
-
There is zero chance it happens which is why I'd want the change of ownership. If Top had binned Rudkin and Whelan in the summer and given this club a proper shakeup I would be willing to say despite the relegation, I can at least see proper measures are being put in place to rectify the astounding mess that got us down in the first place. But the fact he allowed those two to oversee the review, to mark their own homework. It's just astounding naivety at best. Then again I remember it isn't just ineptness at board level. This is before you even come to the general handling of the club, the general sale fiasco etc... I truly think rolling the dice is a safe bet at this point. Our promotion this season would not be a reflection on good ownership. The promotion is ultimately because we're far more powerful a club than our rivals and underachieved drastically to be in this division in the first place. Change of ownership please. Fingers crossed.
-
It wasn't applied when we got relegated. There's no chance now. We have a flaccid fanbase.
-
If being less badly run than Everton and Forest is your barometer for success then there's a problem.
-
You don't know that!!!
-
"We don't know that for sure so we must give the same people who pioneered the most avoidable ever PL relegation even more benefit of the doubt"
-
I've posted plenty on what I think in here. If Everton being the ones to get the points deduction is enough to absolve our hierarchy of any criticism then I'd suggest we're being too kind.
