  1. That's quite a good sign really even if it is surprising. I always thought in 2019/20 we are overly reliant on Vardy's goals and when they slowed down we did, whereas here you seem to have consistent goals from all over the pitch - sign of a good side.
  2. Bayern *****. Just one ****ing goal!
  3. Meh today. Stoke was a lot better.
  4. I refuse to allow us to drop points to these twice.
  5. Fantastic signing. Literally not a single negative about that one for me.

    Daka

He was the edge we had over the others. An elite level player in a key position that was always that it too old for a bigger club to take a punt on. A real perfect storm of a signing. He was the main reason we always had a chance of beating the odds. Daka is never likely to hit his level but hardly anyone is. It was a one in a million.

This is kind of the point about us being spoilt with Vardy. Nothing wrong with aiming for it but how often a team outside of the top sides has a striker hit 20+ is rare. Vardy truly was what we had over everyone else - he was something clubs like Chelsea, West Ham, Everton etc... have spent hundreds of millions trying and failing to get.
  8. Aguero scored hardly any against us for a top strikers standards, although I was stupid enough to point this out to a mate at half time of that very game when he got 4 in one half. They were about the only goals he got against us weren't they? Think he may have got the consolation in the 1-3 actually.
  9. Someone put Son in here but which one? He's scored the same curling goal against us about 5 times.
  10. Here's one nobody mentioned - Wes Hoolahan for Norwich in the 4-3, 2010.
  11. Yeah I was thinking the same. Sometimes you just have to shrug your shoulders at it. Even the Ramsey goal this season, just an absolute piece of class. I swear Cardiff have scored some belters away here. The Di Maria goal just adds to that whole game for me. Nobody would've given us a prayer of a result after that went in. In-fact I'm sure I heard the other night, they lost a game from 2 goals up (cannot think who to) and it was the first time since they played us.
  12. That was an absolute joke of a game they scored three absolutely unbelievable goals, two of them about a minute apart as well. Couldn't believe my eyes. That Burton cup loss in 2012 was similar as well, they just kept scoring ridiculously good goals.
  13. Ipswich's fixtures until April, with the exception of tomorrow, are really nice. They're being overlooked in this even if they do look to have dropped off. If we come out of that Saints game top I'm about 95% sure we'd win the league, and I'm pretty sure we will too.
  14. Not true. Plenty of other clubs manage it even if unofficially. Our ground layout has killed the atmosphere. It will not improve unless the club demonstrate a desire to facilitate the moves. There is only so much those willing to contribute to the noise can actually do.
  15. We have no 'end' at all at this ground. Save for SK1 I think the Kop is genuinely at this point worse for atmosphere than the family stand. It's a real mess.
  16. Was gonna say thought I was going mad for a minute. Good opening month but a shocker of a September - a month they played us and Ipswich in. Makes you wonder.
  17. He's doing better than I thought he would, particularly after the appalling first couple of months, and his side have been more entertaining than I thought he could produce too. But Maresca has done better. He never had that shocker opening couple of months. He's also simply had nicer fixtures. Lets see him come through trips to Leicester, Leeds, Ipswich and West Brom before he's heaped with praise. We on the flip side sit 12 ahead of them (with a game more granted) and only have to play one of those away.
  18. I always think Chalobah when this comes up. Remember it being a game of what felt like huge importance, must-win and he went and did that, and I couldn't even get angry. Didn't quite realise what would pan out in the next couple of weeks
  19. Just awful. If there's one thing VAR has proven it's that less is more. All this will do is create more boring controversy, more boring debates, more rule X says this rule Y says that. It's just another measure that puts more emphasis on the officiating when the one of the original premises of VAR was to take away from that.
  20. The beauty of cup draws is that they aren't meant to be perfect. I've said in the past I could tolerate a situation where you got rid of replays between teams in the same league but at the same time as well, if you get that and it suits neither side - so be it. They aren't meant to work out as you hoped.
  21. That's just how the vote was split rather than how many think it's bad etc... I think our away has picked up a little bit in the last couple of months - feel like it's a retaliation at how bad it is at home almost.
  22. Yep. Ours has been abysmal since about 2017 to be honest. I think one of the big parts of it was when ours was good it was still hinging too much on clappers and people just got bored of them.
  23. I was booing those booing!
  24. Well played Hull.
  25. I do think there is some truth in this. I really wish the level we underperformed last season was acknowledged outside of this fanbase. It was nothing short of a disaster.
