  1. Keep finding myself going to justify others with this kind of reasoning, then I remember
  2. Think we should be more careful who we turn our noses up at moving forward. Especially as beggars can’t be choosers. I’ve seen this forum turn its noses up at Lampard, Rob Edwards, Carrick to name a few over the last couple of years - Lampard is walking the league, Edwards got Boro up to 2nd and Carrick has just outcoached the 2 best managers in the country in a week. Not just a case of only being as good as your last job in football.
  3. Would love Carsley but we’ve got no chance. He’s the next England gaffer if Tuchel isn’t in the post come August.
  4. Anyone suggested Michael Carrick? Can’t imagine he’s busy at this exact moment in time!
  5. The amount of people in here suggesting managers that have recently been appointed in new roles makes painful reading Google is your friend
  6. Andy King will “take charge of first team preparations” and they’ll undertake “process to appoint a permanent manager” would imply they’re not looking at an interim.
  7. Give us some names then Jon
  8. Would be keen to know how well Pearson is, even if it was just well enough to come in and help out Kingy.
  9. Said this a couple of weeks ago, but for the love of god can we stop saying it will be Russell Martin. They know full well the fanbase would burn the ground down and would be the final nail in their coffin.
  10. I love hipster names, I love passing football. Enzo was my ideal manager appointment at the time, as you may tell. But we don’t need that right now. Last thing we need is someone that fans haven’t heard of, making their way in the game, and is going to play football that resembles Ruud/Cifuentes and maybe even Maresca (not that I’d agree).
  11. Like others have said, this stuff doesn’t come out if you don’t intend on sacking him.
  12. My first interpretation of OPA’s tweet is that they’ve made their mind up they’re sacking him and are probably having to negotiate a lower pay off.
  13. Think he goes today and think we find out about how many points it going to be next week. Strap in folks.
  14. Are people saying this as a joke or
  15. To be fair Marinakis doesn’t have to check the books to see if he can afford it (somehow).
  16. Pretty crap but it’s better than nowt.
  17. Yeah was gonna say this. The question I raised is they’ve never done it straight after a game (edit: by that I mean same day) - and looking at that they haven’t.
  18. The amount of people that you have done with that, without even trying, has made my day a little bit better
  19. Communication and organisation wasn’t quite there for this one, but don’t personally think it was the right one anyway with the game not on TV. Charlton needs to be loud and forceful, outside the ground, it’s on tv - maybe a sit in after the game or something.
  20. Cooper was definitely a Sunday, actually remember where I was
  21. Have we ever sacked late on a Saturday after a game? Usually a Sunday job ain’t it?
  22. I have always wondered about Skubala’s Leicestershire connections and if he could be pally with Rudkin.
  23. Mowbray interim/end of season if he’s mad enough to take it, please.
  24. Anyone posted that Indykaila tweet yet?
  25. Our best player by some distance. Not that it was hard.
