We've had examples of players having niggling injuries after coming back from ACL's in recent years (Ricardo, Justin, Ramsey) - Just hoping Lascelles can avoid that because he's actually exactly what we need. He can either be a Huth style signing or a Ramsey style signing.

Was concerned when he came on at CB considering Charlton were lumping the ball forward to two brutes and he's only 5'11/6'0... but he coped with it well. Also didn't know he was as good with the ball too - drove forward with a dribble a few times, and whipped a few balls through between the lines - besides Vestergaard looks one of our better passing CBs too. If he's equally as/more effective in the full back positions then what a versatile player we have there.

What does my fruit in about us on deadline day, is not only do we leave it until the last day, but most of the time we know full well who's probably going to sign on the morning - yet they're still not announced until 10pm anyway. We do everything as late as possible For that reason, I wouldn't expect anything other than Lascelles, Aribo and Mukasa now... its takes us all day to get it over the line, you'd know about it by now.

I don’t even think it’s about organisation, it’s about scrapping around the bargain bin of what’s left of the players desperate for moves at cheaper prices because it’s all we can afford. 2 of the 3 we’re signing today are just desperate for football and are free or loans.

West Ham not getting Kinsky from Spurs now leaves them a man light, so hard to imagine this happens now - unless he really is pushing that hard to play football before the World Cup.

Pretty sure there will be an agreed playing time otherwise it doesn't benefit Man City and the player, possibility there's fees involved if he doesn't meet those playing time targets. At the very least you alienate a club that you want to have a good relationship in terms of them loaning you the best young talent in the country. This is the way modern football works.

Because he is a midfielder. He's just played a false 9 role every now and again - don't see him playing that role here.

From what I know about him he’s kind of similar to Page, tallish, left footed No. 8 - not really a priority position but any new face will do right now.
