Rewarding probably sums up today for me.
From our own perspective, created plenty of chances, clean sheet and 3 points at home against another side that set up fairly defensively and tried to mark us man for man. On another day there's 4 goals for us before they even get their first chance.
Fatawu looks so lively and powerful and thing you have to love the most about him is how direct he is. Gave their left-back an absolute nightmare. Won't be long before he's grabbing assists and goals for fun. Won't be the last full-back that suffers either because of him.
Ndidi my man of the match though. Game-changing performance and took the responsibility on to make that difference. Covered well for KDH and Winks, and showed some really silky skills throughout that 2nd half and for the penalty. Brimming with confidence and it's great to see for him after a tough two years.
And rewarding after the game to give Pearson, King and James such a positive reception. And glad they lapped it up as they so should.
