  1. Agreed, bloody yanks!
  2. Yes the same can be said about honda and toyota. When/where possible (if offered) always get the vehicle made in japan as the canadians here don't make them as good as the japanese. Interesting how you dont have the same issue are yours shipped from korea? My neighbour dumped his hyundai tucson for Mazda CX5
  3. A lot of them are made in America and shipped up our way. I beleive some come from south korea directly. Lately, their fully electrics have been in the news as some owners have been given $50000 to $60000 repair bills for damaged/scratched batteries. Owners complain to tv stations and then the publicity forces hyundai/kia to help out the customer.
  4. My samsung got updates last week. It was enough to annoy me as they changed colours of menus and buttons switched order. Fook off! Lol
  5. Whats with all the (what seems like) recalls due to them potentially catching on fire. Not sure how bad it is but seems like every x months there is a recall and they tell you to park outside to avoid burning your house down if the car spontaneously combusts lol. The bosses hubby is a hyundai mechanic and refuses to buy one. Says the engines are terrible and being replaced a lot on not very old Vehicles. Warranty helps i suppose. I admit to have not read up more about it. Both my brothers have a sonata, elantra and santa fe between them but havent complained about engine or fire issues and absolutely love them! Ireally like the look of the santa fe (current and 2025 model coming out in 2024) but these reports freak me out. My hondas have been mint but i know the switch to turbo engines has led to some oil dilution issues and i refuse to buy any car that has one. Naturally aspirated engines are better IMO for longevity. Also, the hyundais don't seem to hold value over here like honda/toyota so something i also keep in mind. Suppose it wont matter if i drive it into the ground.
  6. Martinez is a disgraceful fukface tw@t. Has to be one of the most hateable tossers in football. Was hoping someone would stick a boot in, cant stand the coont. Ref allowed this to happen and should have been brandishing the cards earlier.
  7. IMO, Indian always but una's burger definitely makes you want one.
  8. Fook sakes thats massive. Did you share that? If not, was that the whole dinner?
  9. We make lasagna probably once every other month and i find it doesn't taste as great upon reheat. My standards aRe too bloody high or my tastebuds suck. I do agree that only certain things freeze well. Tom has the right idea, just keep posting daily what your having and it will make our lives somewhat easier . Btw, fresh home baked bread is the best both taste wise and the aroma in the house!
  10. 100% this. I know people cook alot on weekends and freeze but i prefer freshly cooked food daily. Tastes better. That said, only certain things freeze well. Some of my wifes colleagues literally make big batches of soup and will literally eat it 2 or 3 times that week for dinner. I am spoiled and can't do that. If i make a a curry chicken then we will make it with roti's on the weekend and then later in the week have it with rice and a salad or something. The struggle is real. I told my wife, over the holidays we need to list out like 60 different meal ideas that are a mix of weekend intensive or weeknight simplicity. We have our own cookbook of recipes and we are thoroughly done with them.
  11. Hope you feel better soon mate.
  12. ....Going to be?....lol Think you will rock them like this:
  13. Not sure if anyone else struggles with this but do you ever get tired of planning meals for the week (more so dinner/tea)? Before we had kids, the wife and I experimented with different international cuisines but the kids killed those creative meals haha I find it such an effort to think of what to make that all 4 of us will enjoy. Feels like i have made everything there is over the years and tired of the same old. Kids can be a bit picky although most times i say "deal with it". Easy weeknight meal ideas are always appreciated. Weekends are saved for the bigger feasts. I do take notes when i see things in here though I love cooking but mannnnnnnn! Side note, incredibly blessed to have food on my table no matter what it is especially in a time where so many are struggling.
  14. Fook sakes grew up on eggplant sabji. Sick of it when you eat it so often lol.
  15. Old fashioned plain are one of my favorites!
  16. Im going to piss off now and enjoy my dinner and maybe grab a doughnut later eh.
  17. Not even close to being yanks. They are a different breed. Think brits and yanks are at times cousins Its to do with the natives and the whole finding indians in america when in fact it was indigenous people. People are more likely to say Indo-Canadian these days though.
  18. South asian. Canadians use the term east indian
  19. Facts, they got nothing on east indian curries.
  20. East indian, Jamaicans can't make great curry
  21. I made it last week, frozen left overs so heating up now and making some basmati rice.
  22. 3 points and now my curry goat and rice is almost ready for dinner. Get in!
  23. We need a 3rd stat. Come on lads get it in!
  24. Bloody hell get in
