Not sure how true it is, but I read the purchase is mandatory if he plays 50% of the season. I'll see if I can find it again and share.

Every transfer is a risk, but what I mean by being perfect is that it is the type of signing that would have grabbed the interest of the majority of the fans and would have been a sign that the club is moving in a new direction, as we have been promised. Danny Ings is just more of the same, whether he turns out to be a good signing or not.

Ward was out injured for most of that time wasn’t he, so I assume he played mostly through necessity. Ward definitely started last season as first choice.
