We are an unfunny comedy club.

Says a lot when Alan Nixon can’t even be bothered to make up a story about us the day before the transfer window closes.

Translation from the article referenced: With Leicester City, a club from the Premier League also has Wimmer on the shopping list and, according to BILD information, is currently exploring the chances of a lightning transfer this winter. Milan and Juve, on the other hand, would probably concentrate on next season. Wimmer has to make a decision about the future by summer at the latest. If, despite his outstanding qualities (20 goals in 63 games), he often has to accept a bench position rather than a starting position, a move to England or Italy could become increasingly interesting. Milan and Juventus in particular have great appeal and great international appeal.

Akpom can go to France or England. After it was previously announced that Sunderland hopes to hire him, Leicester City and Olympique Marseille are now also very concrete. At Leicester City, Akpom would come to work under former top striker Ruud van Nistelrooy. Akpom, who is the third striker behind Brian Brobbey and Wout Weghorst, played several times as an occasional left winger.

I get your point, but I think we should be looking at someone to come in as a winger who can improve the starting 11, not challenging our current wingers. We all know if he is the option we are looking at, it is the definition of a lets have a gamble and hope it sticks signing after having a whole month to sort this out.

You have to have pace upfront for that, surely?

Stating the obvious, but until one of Edouard or Bounanotte goes back to their parent club this is a non-starter.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

So, you’d give him a minimum expectation of 3 points against Liverpool, Man City and Villa? All those shouting Ruud out, would you really rather spend what little pot we have in funds to get rid of him rather than using it to bring in whatever we can get in the January to plug the obvious holes we have in the first team?
