Nixon, now tier 1 @Finnegan? Leicester keen on Wrexham keeper as Welsh club close on Patterson
-
Local lad as well

Like I said previously, this has to work for him just as much as us, else he is finished as a manager in this country. He won’t be coming without evidence of the clubs plans to recruit, so he must think he can get the club out of this mess to get his reputation out of the gutter. If it works, we both benefit, if not we are both finished in the footballing world.

The only thing I’m clinging to is this has to work for Martin and much as it does for the club. If his football doesn’t work in league 1, then he is literally finished as a football manager. His career is literally on the line, just as much as the existence of Leicester City Football club. So let’s hope he has adapted his philosophy some what, so he does succeed. As much as some people want to see us in administration, it will be the worst possible outcome for the city of Leicester as much as the club. People’s livelihood’s are genuinely on the line here.

Let’s get Marti back, on that basis then!
-
Reading up on Thelin, it looks like he would have had the same career trajectory as Cifuentes, hence nothing obvious to be excited about. What's the attraction, to those better informed?

Gracia would actually excite me out of that, which means it obviously won’t be him. The rest of that list is honking.

Nixon saying we are still trying for Martin.

Sounds more like Brussel Martin.

Could we get actually get relegated again this season?

Surely, technically speaking, it would be Oxford who benefit, assuming you mean in terms of this seasons league position? -
Well done to Bournemouth for winning the league for Arsenal. That’s how it works, right?

SCMP rules - Now Championship and League One
stu replied to LCFCCHRIS's topic in Leicester City Forum
It was 75%, the new rules has reduced that to 65% for clubs relegated from the Championship. -
Am I understanding this correctly in that this causes even more of an issue for us next season in that we won't have as much salary head room that we would have done if the rules hadn't been changed i.e. 75% down to 65% and even if Top could bank-roll like Wrexham and Birmingham, he and King Power can't input has much in as they could have done previously?

I don't doubt it. I was specifically stating Martin and that style would be a disaster, because Martin is so wedded to possession and associated stats that he refuses to adapt even if it obviously isn't working during a match or over time. It's never his fault, its the players not performing, always resorting to thowing players under the bus to protect himself. That's the last thing we need as a manager going in to next season.
-
If you look at Lincoln and the majority of the league one teams, its mainly physical & counter attacking football. The very thing we have become to struggle against. Martin and more of the same style as the last few seasons would be another disaster waiting to happen.

Never knew he was Belgian, until now. Always thought he was English. No idea why, mind.
